    Hello love all your tutorials and your research. To add to what you eat. Try this 3 × a week: 2 tbls. Of high quality Olive Oil, a few squeezes of fresh lemon juice, a tlbs. Of unfiltered honey, and a shake or two of dried cayenne pepper. Stir that up and eat it with that table spoon after you drink the water first thing in the morning. I promise you, by the 2nd week you will notice a difference. You can also sprinkle some ground cinnamon in there once in a while.

    Your diet sounds perfect! What a great example you provided. I cannot eat vegetables. Every time I try to reintroduce them I get sick. I have been doing a carnivore diet with great success and have been able to become a non medicated T2D with an a1C of 5.5. Still a work in progress. I think it is important that we all try to do the best we can and what works best for our own body. Thank you for all of your great content.

    In one of your videos you mention that hyperthyroidism can cause leg cramps. My question is : I have hypothyroidism and do have leg cramps even when taking magnesium. Can you address this please. Thank you

    Dr Janine, I’m Mediterranean & grew up eating a lot of bread. Still love Bread, if I do t eat bread I honestly don’t feel satiated. Any advice ?
    So don’t you eat any carbs ? You said you eat only protein & veggies ?

      Bread and grains should totally be avoided. They spike your blood sugar and insulin. That's why you'll never be satiated eating those foods!

      If you add grassfed butter (like Kerrygold) to your bread, it should be more filling. Also, it appears that freezing bread lowers its glycemic index (and your blood glucose & insulin spike) by around 30%. Toasting it appears to lower it a little more.
      Carbohydrates spike your blood sugar. Within a couple of hours, you’ll crave more as there is a dip in blood sugar. Sometimes, eating fat and protein with the carbohydrates reduces the spike and helps you feel more satiated, so that you don’t need to eat until your next meal.

    I have been in a fast for spiritual reason and I felt great! I fasted 10 days.Heres my problem,I go right back to feeling bloated or just blah! I feel like I could eat everything in sight as if starving! I did all this before I started to fast!! Help!

      Don't forget, all the grains, rice, cereals, etc. all turn to sugar as well shortly after ingesting!
