Happy new year! Oil pickup definitely finds everything. Oil pressure on my 5.2 magnum would go to zero psi at idle then back to normal on acceleration. Took the pan off and debris was covering the screen. Decided to do pump, pickup, and rear main seal. Almost 200k miles on truck when did the job.
It's sad that this kind off crap will just keep on happening more and more. These jokers ( so called professional mechanics and businesses) that do this garbage to people need to be exposed BIG TIME!! That is the only way this kind of garbage will start to clean up. Happy New Year!!
And this is exactly why, I do my own maintenance and repairs. You can not put trust into these dealerships to fix your vehicle correctly you just can’t. The vast majority of all these so called techs, absolutely do not gaf about your investment. Support your local diesel shops people. Dealer mechanics that take pride in their work like this one, are extremely rare.
Thank you for those kind words. But the truth to this is I have had trucks brought in because the “local diesel shop” couldn’t figure it out. And after working on these vehicles after they have I still don’t have a ton of faith in the quality of work they provide
I’m hoping they do put the other shop on blast. Sadly I doubt they will. I want people to know that they should hold shops accountable for poor service when poor service is experienced but to also give praise when it’s deserved
Thanks for the video! I have a question for you. I have been following your channel as well as JB reviews. Thanks for all your input. I have a 2022 Ram 2500 with a 6.7 L Cummins do you recommend doing the heater grid delete and putting in a banks monster ram intake and grid heater upgrade?
Thank you for watching and following it is greatly appreciated. I do recommend that upgrade to the banks monster ram. I did a video on me installing one
Honestly, those techs and dealerships names should be mentioned or else they won't correct their sloppy ways. I have seen better work done by teenagers from a foreign country.
This oil leak happened to my 5th gen Cummins. Luckily it was covered by my 100k warranty at 90k. They told me they had to pull the cab which I was surprised is that common for this repair?
@@Trukstuf Sad truth is they are likely to simply provide that same level of "service" no matter what they decide to apply their "skills" towards. Amazing that someone would do that and call it repaired. Good job fixing it right!

It’s so hard to find good honest mechanics. Somebody, maybe the owner of the truck needs to put that other mechanic and shop on blast.

Also new subscriber love the new Cummins take videos I always say the thing you say and yell at my wife like SEE!! She rolls her eyes but it’s cool 🧐
You’re a good man. Hopefully the truck owner can use this video to get a refund for that shitty work.
It seems more common nowadays for the acceptable repair being not driven by passion and a want to do the best job you can
Happy New Year, you should call that shop out, to save people money from having to pay out twice
We did call that shop out. They did pay for the repairs that I did. Unfortunately for them they lost a customer and I gained one
Great video
I appreciate you watching, glad you enjoyed it.
Sadly, there are butchers in every trade. What a hack job.

Thanks for your response. Should I worry about warranty’s after I have put that on?
@@brandonmelconian5048you should have no issue but check with your local dealer for specifics
All that RTV. that's my kind of repair

If we do the repair by what service information tells us then yes we pull the cab. On 4th gens I don’t pull the cab. 5th gens I do
@Trukstuf thx for the info. Makes sense.
What ever happened to doing something right or don't do it at all?
Wish I knew. Guys that do work like that need to find a different profession
@Trukstuf Happy New Year! Keep up the good work. I enjoy watching and learning.

Making mistakes is one thing how you handle them is what matters
