- In this video I show you how to remove and install the front shocks on your Gen 1 (2010-2014) Ford SVT Raptor. It is fairly straight forward and something you can do with basic tools.

Great video. Very well done and informative. God bless you guys.
This just goes to show how hard things are. Someone will say a surgeon has a difficult job - you just watched a surgeon.
Nice video, thank you!
My nut got stuck also. On the bottom of the bolt you can put a 10mm socket and use a 21mm wrench on the nut to get it the rest of the way off
I tried that first, but the ball joint stud rounded off. Had to get creative!
I am really wondering why they made it only one way to be installed. It makes it alot harder for me with new springs
Yeah, it's a pain. But if you get the top bolts started, you can put a long bar through the lower mount hole and turn it to where you need it. Just make sure to turn it in a way that keeps the spring against the perches.
Great! But I believe you assembled the lower control arm bolt from the other direction from when taken apart. Does this matter? How long do you think this takes to the R & R?
It's possible I did but it's orientation doesn't matter too much. It took me about 6 hours total for both fronts. It took a lot of time to put it at mid perch though because they were seized.
