Cool! Can I ask how heavy yours is? The one I have is 7.2oz. The last aurora I had was a standard grind in 3v and was 5.8oz. I wonder if the extra metal on the blade is making that much difference in weight, or if there is a differently designed tang, or if I have a thicker handle (or all 3).

pre order for this knife, or a different one? generally they can definitely take longer than expected, but I'd call DLT (or whomever) and check in
