I have all 3 of these knives (different configuration: ULB in S45VN Scout in Magnacut and Gunny LT in 3V). My fav is the ULB flollowed by the Gunny LT. Frankly I don't like my Scout and don't trust the Magnacut steel after watching DBK break theirs. I would never baton with these smaller knives but I still don't trust the Scout.

I just found a “used” but unused like new bark river machete and it is amazing for sure. My first bark river. I had the same thought that this would make an amazing one tool, tho I’m for sure always paring it with my favorite knife since it’s always on me. Add in my gomboy outback and I’m all set for any situation. I had eyed this machete before but not seriously and I didn’t think I’d ever end up finding one. Also has a beautiful green shade tree micarta handle

Born and raised in Michigan. So i love Bark River. But... for cost effectiveness, its the 240 Skrama. Itll do do " nearly tje job" for half the price. Im Bark River all day, but...

For the price of all... Skrama 240. Ease of handling, the axe. I'm disappointed with the amalgam. Figured it being front heavy it would've done better. Bark River makes some awesome knives... but for the price... I'll suffer the Skrama 240.

That's a good idea, but I really don't understand why does a car this expensive have important features locked behind a paywall. I kinda get the paywalled rear heated seats, sure, some people may not need them, but locking down the acceleration? Come on...

Who does BR contract with to produce their blades? They do not show any videos of actual blade production in Escanaba. I suspect they come from across the pacific. I would like to see some hardness testing to check the quality of the heat treating.

Absolutely amazing left shoulder review

You should try a Japanese nata. Bulk combined with ergonomics and very sharp Japanese steel.

Both Companies get their steel from Crucible, so they shouldn't be any different. I have both of these blades, and for the price point, I'd go Benchmade every time. Handles are different, but for my XL glove hands, both have advantages. Cold or wet weather, Benchmade wins again.

Do you have a mini gunny? If so i'd like to hear your thoughts between the mini gunny and ul bushcrafter
