Thanks for this video. My biggest complaint about the Spark is not having a looper. Nothing is better for practicing than a looper.
Thanks Andy. I got the looper to work at last. The Xsonic youtube clip left out an important step which you include: Press B and C buttons to get the Airstep to be available to the IOS. You get mixed up in your vid and tell us that the last or E button is for Dub/Record when it is in fact the A or first button. Never mind small potatoes as after they all connect up and you have downloaded the firmware the xsonic vid follows the footsteps. Thanks again. That was stressful. Phew :)

The foot switch works great but loopy only uses the ipad mic and not the usb in from the amp. I couldnt find a setting to rememdy it and turning off the mic in the settings didnt help either. Any ideas?
What amp are you using?
I have same question does it just use the iPad mic? The sound quality is therefore not great and picks up other noise in the room. I don’t see the point therefore of plugging in iPad to back of Spark amp.

So now the RIFF is out and has a looper but PG can't seem to add this function to Spark. They're missing the boat here.
I'm not big on 3rd party workarounds. I use the Control and a Mini on stage and have a small looper pedal when I need to loop something but wish PG would just add it to Spark. Also like the device paths in the RIFF with splitters and such. Now that the GO is out perhaps Positive Grid can concentrate on supporting the owners of their devices.

Is it possible to change the fx settings in the spark for the single loop channels? Or is it automatically applying the effects on the whole loop
Three questions here:
1- Are you using the Airstep SPK version and connect the iPad with the spark WITH THE CABLE?
2- Can you also use the app as drum machine?
3- Do you suggest this combination?

Ive watched these multiple times, i cant understand what/where thats plugged into the spark amp, mine onlu has a plug for the wall outlet, no usb or 2nd plug beside that - and my pedal only came with the "powercord to usb " im confused
I am trying to get this to work with the Airstep SPK version and Spark Mini. Whenever, I try the bluetooth link between the Airstep and Mini - I get solid pale blue - not green. I simply cannot get this to work. Any step by step help really appreciated!
I tried this with spark mini and it will only record via the iPad mic...help
So the only way this works by using the phone/tablet mic?
Is the Spark Wireless footswitch the same? Does it have the looper ability? Mine just came in the mail yesterday. Like many I love my spark amp but want the ability to use a looper pedal.
It is similar but not the same. The Spark “control” does not have a looper function (at least not last time I checked).
Any fix for audio constantly switching outputs between the ipad and directly from the amp?

Yes, that is correct. I am not sure if loopy has an Android equivalent or not.
What exactly is that adapter?
This solution stinks. The documentation is horrible. Many, many people (myself included) have wasted hours trying to get it to work and can't. This video puports to help, but merely copies the video from the manufacturer. You just plugged it together and it worked? You are a lucky man.
This thing’s bogus. Airstep doesn’t let on in the marketing it’s so complicated, takes an additional app, etc. Just buy the spark footswitch and a decent looper.
Returned that garbage pedal. Shouldn’t advertise as looper when you have to purchase other shit!!! Total rip off garbage!!!
