I walked 9 years ago this upcoming end of May/June. It was a little warmer than what it looks like for you. This summer I’m going to take our 15 year old daughter, end of June/July to walk from Saint Jean Pied de Port. Last summer her and I walked the coastal Portuguese route. Looking forward to more of your videos to show her, so she can prepare her mind. Buen Camino!
Wow congrats on your two caminos! We started in April on the Napoleon route which was chilly, but by the time we got to Galacia we were in shorts! We had amazing weather with little to no rain as well! That’s so cool that you manage to do these with your daughter, what a bonding experience. Buen Camino!!
@@KimberlyErinDactually… lol, I walk one a year. I’m meeting up with friends and other pilgrims I’ve met for the Primitivo (Oviedo is the starting point) in May. And then I will go back with my daughter end of June. I’ve only walked the French Camino once. Del Norte once. Invierno once. And different variations of the Portuguese routes 6 times. The French route with my daughter will be #11. It’ll be my second time walking from SJPdP. The Portuguese routes are not too bad, when you need to get away and do some thinking. Even in winter, it’s mild enough for me to do one. The Camino keeps calling some of us back. Looking forward to the rest of your videos. I’m sure things have changed on the French Route over the years. Pilgrims have doubled in numbers, since I did my first one.
Answered my question...Easter weekend. Must be late March 2024. Cannot get over it's not freezing! My husband and I walked over the Pyrenees August 2023, in crazy cold wind-driven rain. Good for you all!
Hey!! We were actually really lucky! There was a snow storm in the Pyrenees about a week before we left. They opened the Napoleon Route the day before we left, and 3 days after we finished that section it got hit with another snow storm that closed the trail again. We had litterally perfect timing. Hit a window if sun. We also only had 2 days (of 42) of rain! Lucked out on weather.❤
great video is magic adventure
It really is! Thanks for watching ❤

The stage is difficult if you go all the way over the Pyrenees in one day. About 16 miles and over 4,000 of climbing
