The mix seems unusual but I did have pancakes with syrup, butter and streaky bacon together a few years ago in London and it actually works, the saltiness of the bacon goes well with the syrup and the doughy pancakes.

Hello good video marshall. Yes in America our pancakes are served on same plate but some of us opt to ask for pancakes on separate plate. Also it's not ice cream on top it butter shaped into a scoop. Meaning they used small scoop for the butter. We call ice cream the sweet dessert you find in the freezer case. We also like to spread some of the butter on each layer of pancakes before the syrup. Yes for sure on picking up the bacon in your hand very common in America Heheheh. I enjoy your videos. Keep up the great job. 👍😁

@@marshallbuttersvlogs6880 How it works in the States all my life is that you are generally greeted at the door and taken to a table to sit while the hostess has menus. After you sit you are given menus and they may ask what you would like to drink or minutes later a server will come and get you drink. Your drinks come first and the the waiter will come back and ask what you would like to order. Your order is taken and soup or salad comes first, then you main meal while all at the same time your drinks or coffee are topped off. Your order comes and drinks topped off again and then when finished with main course you will be asked if you would like to order desserts all while drinks topped off. Drinks are traditionally water, soft drinks and coffee with our without cream and sugars. As usually not expresso, Mochas or lattes since this is a newer addition in some restaurants. After dessert you are asked if you would like anything else and they will offer a doggie bag for leftovers which is rare to take with you since we generally eat all our food. Tip is optional and not required in almost all non fancy restaurants unless it is a large group. However everyone used to leave a tip of about a Buck but now you leave 10%-25% as I leave 10% unless its great service. Hope this helps. Plus pancakes come both ways in the USA on the plate if small pancakes on the main plate and large pancakes on a separate dish. Good Day

Hi Marshall. You can always ask the waiters to give you an extra plate and separate the pancakes. But i think the idea is that you will have the pancakes at the same time as the savory meal. I myself found that a bit strange as well as I lived in Sydney for 21 years and when I came to Manila they mix them up. Even in McDonald's, you get a mix of sweet and savory and I find that a bit strange. Maybe it's a cultural thing.

im pretty sure the breakfast comes with coffee like most breakfast meals in America and Canada, thats probably why she keep insisting on the coffee. Not all places in America serve pancakes, eggs and bacon on one plate, but yes that way of serving is very common to a fast food type diner restaurant, more upscale places serve it separately. Speaking of food, you should check out Spiral buffet, its Manila's best buffet restaurant and probably in Asia.
