    Ruben sandwich with sauerkraut and thousand island dressing is just my absolute favorite. Pastrami with Russian dressing is my backup. Trust me, I'm 300 lbs I know what I'm talking about.

    Hi Marshal, those sandwiches look really fantastic! When you get back to Baguio, try Mario’s Restaurant. It is known for Spanish style menus with a twist of Filipino taste. One of the few remaining old restaurants in Baguio.

    That cafe is a hidden gem and I'm sure you'll find more of them. The sandwiches looks great and the Reuben reminds me of the Reuben i had at a Polish deli last month...instead of corned beef they put Kielbasa sauage; it was very good. Congrats on 25K, Marshall! Stay safe!

    Barako is a type of local coffee blend (particularly in Lipa, Batangas), originally composed of pure Philippine Liberica (a rare coffee variety; originated from Liberia)... But with its scarcity, most of barako today are mixed with local Arabica, Robusta or Excelsa.
    Barako in Tagalog means "Wild Boar".
    It is also a slang word for "a tough, muscular man".
    The delicious crunchy sound of the sandwich, though. 😱😋👌

    Brgy. Wack-wack's name comes from stories that were told many many years ago, the place was a vast grassland which was home to numerous large black birds called “uwak” or crow in English. It was from this “uwak” that the name “Wack-Wack” was derived.

    That place on Mabini St, San Juan or Mandaluyong, can't distinguish the border. It is hidden place, quite pricey, but quiet and reasonable. It is close to the place where I stay at Barons 3.

    Why am I even jealous? I don't know why the Reuben is served in thick slices of bread, but if it tastes hearty then it must be good. Maybe it's the Tapa Cheesesteak that gets me. No matter how many times I've gone to Philly for their Philly Cheesesteak, I am hardly ever impressed. I just think the tapa tastes good in the Philippines. So, there, I have just given you a diagnosis of my jealousy which is a little bit irrational!

    • @marshallbuttersvlogs6880
      @marshallbuttersvlogs6880  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I think the thick bread is a structural necessity otherwise it would disintegrate from all the juices. The Tapa was amazing.
