I've always preferred this version. The OST version sounds sound as good in the transitions, and the ending is a massive cliffhanger, wheras this one builds up and delivers.
Well the thing is that one is the one for the gameplay because while you play the game it jumps to different parts of the song and transitions to different things based on gameplay. While this one is a song song like the ending of the ost i hear it as a start or in the middle of master levels🤣 then it goes to the hook again
You got one thing wrong. This isn't terrifying to the player, because hell is coming - it's terrifying to the demons of hell who see the slayer coming. :-)
The reason this sounds better is because this one is mixed so it makes sense, the other one is made to use as snippets when fighting in doom, it kinda goes back and forth in the song to fit whats happening. Here though, it actually flows.
Every soundtrack that Mick Gordon did for DOOM & Wolfenstein can't be uploaded to Spotify because of copyright and production issues between Mick and Bethesda. Both sides did stuff wrong so nobody to blame.
I'm here to annoy you with other songs from the game to check out: * Cultist Bass (No guitars, just chainsaws) * Meathook (My favorite) * BFG 10k/100000 * Blood Swamps * The World Spear These are my personal preferences
I agree that its a great bit, but what I think makes it so good is how its unexpected, it just shows up once and never shows up again and I think that adds to it.
Glad you found this OST. It really is incredible. I highly recommend playing this on PC and having the patience to learn the gameplay loop. The learning curve is not... well, it's not light, but it is absolutely worth it. I can't play Eternal on anything but Nightmare difficulty at this point. That said, you might wanna check out Cultist Base next
Fantastic reaction mate! I'm extremely glad that you checked out this version and loved it! I would say that the main reason that this version is a lot better is the difference in how they were mixed. Mick mixed this version to be listened to on it's own as apposed to the game rip version that he mixed to be amongst all the other game audio whether that be environmental sounds, gun shots or the crushing of demon's skulls, so it was mixed in a way to not overshadow any of the other important audio parts of gameplay while still retaining it's core kickass nature. Hence why this version sounds a lot fuller and open compared to the game rip, with better structure and a few extra bits for the cherry on top. I would highly recommend that you check out more Mick mix's from the DOOM Eternal soundtrack or the DOOM 2016 sound track (which I think all available mixes are Mick's?). Any song you choose is bound to be great, however if you wanted a couple specifics, for DOOM Eternal, 'Meathook', 'Super Gore Nest' and 'Cultist Base' and for DOOM 2016, 'BFG Division', 'Rip and Tear' nd 'Rust, Dust and Guts' are all fantastic If you were interested in learning more about how Mick Gordon created and sculpted the soundtracks, then I would definitely recommend checking out this video th-cam.com/video/K_C_RFa6v90/w-d-xo.html and there is also a great video out there where Mick himself explains the complex audio system that he created for both games that changed the audio on the fly, adding and changing different parts depending on what you were doing in game. But once again great reaction and can't wait for more!! #CHESTHAIR
I don't discover music because of TH-cam reactors... I discover React channels because they discover the modern Doom OSTs. (And I keep watching because they get hooked and keep doing more of it.)

@@Roguenjosh yeah, that would sound cool, I’ve never seen you before though, so, I hope I enjoy your content, but from this video alone, I’m enjoying myself a lot.
6:00 sounds like beating someone again and again and again, but with increasing intensity, finally getting vengeance, which you were lusting for since so long...
That transition @4:17 is absolutely incredible. It takes the chromatic figure from before and completely sucks the air out of the room by changing the pad sound on the synth. Mick Gordon outdid his 2016 soundtrack with this one. It's such a damn shame we probably won't get a proper release, with good engineering. So bummed that it had to end up this way.
5:28 Other acceptable alternatives are on a large home/pc sound system or in a car with enhanced audio. These options are the ONLY alternatives to unlocking and hearing the actual true power of this track. Maximum fidelity within peak dB's is the way of the DoomSlayer.
Ahhhh Doom music , nothing keeps my in-laws away then my “ I will eat you if you piss me off “ tunes . Just love this . Disclaimer : The urge to hunt Demons grows the more you listen.
if this is ur 1st reaction to Mick Gordon ... we have to go back to the basics .. starting with BFG Division from DOOM 2016 Also Mick is a absolute fckin Chad Madman .. his favorite instruments are Chainsaws and Lawnmowers
its a fun fact that the ending with "let us in" at the end, it was actually added after the song was released because the ending of the original didnt seem to fit properly haha
Its quite a change isn't it? As a very out-there pick, I'd really like to see someone check out Doldrum Sentinels by King Goat, its an absolute banger with some huge vocal contrasts, well worth a listen!
I usually don’t like DOOM Eternal, or rock and metal or anything of that type, but this is amazing. I just usually don’t like it because I don’t like really crazily violent stuff, but this shits the good shit!
blast some mick gordon trough your skull, grow some hair on your chest, also you into warhammer 40k by any chance? theres a very good astartes animation and someone put this song under the carnage and it fits perfectly. its called the only thing they fear is astartes by maffivideos.
I think you need to understand that this is secondary to the game. Its not the primary focus instead meant to serve the game. It isn't written in a typical aba structure or whatever that you would hear if this was written by a live band for concerts. Its industrial metal
not necessarily the good version just the differently arranged. Also that ending bit was not the armies of hell coming but the doom slayer ready to slay the demons.

This mix is so much clearer and hits way harder.
The mix is another level

You’re right!
This “RIP AND TEAR” part in the end always gives me chills) and fun fact it was made with a choir, that was made up fully with heavy metal vocalists))
"I think I just grew chest hair"
The first time I heard this song, my beard grew a beard.
Nice!
I've been wanting this to come to Spotify sooooo bad!
Yeah that would be huge

yup me to i guess i have to stick to the familyjuvles one for now

What about Immora
hellwalker too is as good as the ones mentioned above
if bfg 10k then might as well check out bfg division
3:21 is my favourite bit. Chord change - the only one. He should have repeated that a few times, but it's certainly the best bit.
Hell yeah
I agree that its a great bit, but what I think makes it so good is how its unexpected, it just shows up once and never shows up again and I think that adds to it.
It’s called a key change, but ok
@@TheBeast94YT not a key change, just emphasises a part of the key that only shows up in tiny pieces through the rest of the song.

this game is definitely not for the faint of heart. it's extremely hard to master. Alot of mechanics ties with rewards. Like a chess game.
