I am a cruiser of all lines. I have done RC, Carnival, Disney, Norwegian and more. I tend to go toward RC due to my loyalty status and I am an Oasis Class lover. I am very excited for the Mardi Gras though and I want to book one. The worst cruiser is not the Carnival Cruiser. It’s the negative cruiser. We all need positivity.

Sure you can have a preference of cruise line…nobody is the same. That’s life! But it makes no sense to hate on how other people choose to vacation. I find it really odd, I have done most of my cruises on HAL and appreciate the lack of kids on it, never zero, but not full’o’kids. HAL is not as stuffy as some folks would have you believe, many of their shows revolve around the culture of the areas they are visiting, no big Broadway shows, at least not on the ones I have been on. I don’t get the hate on for Carnival, it was my very first cruise line and was a lot of fun. I have met boorish folks on every cruise ship I have been on. And I have met some of the best people in the world. My second Carnival cruise was only a couple of years ago, and it was a wonderful cruise. Going to Greenland with them in 23. Great rant Tony. Any cruise or situation in life, you get out what you put in. Preachy Tony is awesome, you only do this when the situation warrants it. Keep up the great work. I only started following cruise vlogs since covid hit, and yours is the one I listen to consistently. You are balanced and informative.

You know, my first few cruises were on RC and I started to develop this uppity attitude about it. I had been told that Carnival was horrible and without having first hand experience I started sharing this sentiment. I was young and stupid. We then had an opportunity to sail with NCL and enjoyed it very much. We found each line to have different strengths and highlights, but neither was superior to the other. But, at that time I still thought Carnival was crap!! Then in 2018, our family decided to go on a cruise for our family reunion. The only week we all could take and afford was, you guessed it, a Carnival cruise. I wasn’t excited about it. I kept my focus on my family time. Then, we got on the Carnival cruise and I LOVED IT!!!! Again, it had different strengths, but I had not one single negative thing to say!!! So, I’m now at the point where I will pretty much cruise on any line and will choose more based on itinerary, price and days at sea! Tony, I love how you are such an advocate for cruising. From someone who works in the hospitality industry - we need a lot more people like you around!!
Glad you were willing to adjust your attitude for the better! I have only cruised on Carnival, and LOVE it! Sometimes it gets a little noisy, but there are quiet areas I can go to if it gets too overwhelming!
My first 2 cruises with the family were with Carnival and we had a GREAT time! I’m going on my first RC cruise in a few weeks and trying to keep an open mind. So far, I feel like everything is more expensive. From the drink packages to shore excursions. We fished out so much $$ already. I hope it will be worth the total cost. 🙏
I have only been on carnival and it's affordable, haven't been on other cruise lines but some people have no respect and it doesn't matter where it's at, cruise line, air line grocery store there will always be people that think that way, good job Tony

Agreed. I’ve been on many carnival cruises and have never had an issue with any of the people. With that I’ve been on one Royal cruise and there was an issue with a women who felt she shouldn’t or couldn’t be told no. She was super entitled. But only one royal cruise so small sample size.
I was so surprised when I saw part of the title because I know you guys are big supporters of the Carnival cruise line. It was good to hear you defend the brand. We have gone on a total of three Carnival cruises and always run into good people on the ship. The community is so lucky to have people like you who take the time to go on the different cruise lines and tell us about your experience. Knowing the details about what to expect while on the ship will eventually help people make better choices when choosing to cruise. Thanks for all the great information!!
True but so may people don’t care. Super selfish people out and about these days. In large part these people are poorly educated on the matter but still want to act like experts because someone on the radio told them it was so.
That’s exactly why I’m waiting to go. I have PTSD and can’t handle the mask so rather than be a Karen I’ll just wait. Any cruise is a good cruise to me.
Yes agree!! I don't think the cruiselines will relax them anytime soon and try to enforce them as much as they can. People need to stop and think that most of the caribbean ports have tougher protocols then the cruise lines.
When we took Holland America to Alaska, we were 57 & 52, and EVERYWHERE that we went and were recognized or noticed by fellow passengers that we had shared dinner or an excursion, we would be met with "Look everyone, it's THE KIDS!" Literally, without fail, we were ALWAYS referred to as "THE KIDS!" As you well know, Alaska is a GREAT cruise, and we were fortunate enough to have added an additional five-day land tour as well, including three-days in Denali. Holland America is more of an upscale mainstream cruise line. Even before the pandemic, the crew would serve you in the Buffet, and there are clothe towels in the restrooms rather than paper or blow dryers. DEFINITELY not a lot of late night activities, as after 10pm the decks are pretty much a ghost town. Still, there are no bad cruises - just bad cruise passengers! Safe travels
Love Carnival for the itineraries, socialization trivia, comedy club and the piano bar. Love Royal’s Oasis class ships for all of the physical activities. They are both great! 65 years young cruiser! 🛳
I've sailed on Carnival several times and I just love this cruise line! Carnival's been labeled "nothing but a part boat" for as long as I can remember. And unfortunately this still lingers. I appreciate Tony's impassioned defense! Haters will be haters, nothing will change that. Cruise on!!
Tony, you are correct. I have been on many Ships and Cruise lines. They all have some good points for what ever you are looking for. There are seasons in our lives and there are cruise ships for each one of them. I love cruising 😍.
We love Carnival. My husband feels that Carnival caters to the working class and we’re happy cruising with them. We’ve had only positive experiences on our Carnival cruises. We did 2 cruises just before the pandemic and have had 2 since and have 2 more scheduled. People are friendly and we’ve had some great conversations. Carnival Cruisers ROCK! 💜💜🦄🦄
I have cruised with several lines. There are two lines I won’t even attempt to cruise on anymore. But Carnival is me and my boys favourite line. I would like to try a couple more lines to see if we like them but for now we are happy to cruise. One line I didn’t like had too many drunks and people trashing things. Everyone has their favourite vacation and that’s great because if everyone wanted to go to one spot there wouldn’t be a spot to go to.

Here's something about Holland that you might be attracted to. They are very committed to Live Music and have multiple venues featuring it including BB King's lounge and a dueling pianos type bar. It's fun.
Sounds awesome!!! I just wish Holland America had cruises that embarked from Galveston or New Orleans. We don't want to fly and driving to Florida is a lot of driving for us.
Tony, your preaching was justified! We are retired and we like every cruise line. With the hassles of traveling, we are doing more cruises out of Long Beach where we can easily drive to the port. Those cruises are Carnival and we have had nothing but excellent experiences. We have experienced rude guests on every cruise line. But I must say that the rudest most entitled guests we have experienced have been on Disney. We love Disney, but the entitlement factor is often off the charts. We have yet to cruise on Holland, but we have a 45 night South Pacific cruise scheduled with them next year. Thanks you for your great videos!
@Toni JohnsonMy husband and I have grown kids and grandkids, so no kids with us on a cruise. We love music, good food(not a foodie), and great entertainment. We're going on RCCL cruise next year. We may eventually try Carnival, but I heard the entertainment wasn't that great and the food was just ok. Definitely not interested in Disney.
My husband and I cruise Holland all the time. We are both early 50’s and yes Holland does have an older clientele. There is plenty to do and the crew members are amazing. We love it as there aren’t many kids and all the kids amenities onboard. Will have to see how the next few cruises go with the new kids free cruises.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. You recognized the toxic behavior of those that act as if their preferences and/or choices make them superior to others and you chose to speak out against it. Bad behavior is on display everyday, everywhere regardless of any social variable you want to add. We all need to focus on compassion, tolerance and an individual effort to do better.
I love Carnival. I have sailed with RC before as well but prefer Carnival. Everyone has there own preference. I’m sure I’ll try other ones someday just not now 🙂

Been on three cruises with masks and we can honestly say after a while it became second nature. Our family masks up at home so we are used to it anyway!
Thank you! I get a lot of that because I like to cruise Carnival, it’s just my preference. I did have one of my friends that likes another cruise line that I haven’t been on saying their cruise line has more uppity people? Oh well. I’m a happy cruiser! I like what I like, and follow protocols without being judgmental.
I have cruised on HAL many many times and I am older and met many younger couples, they have wonderful bands and entertainment. They have the Rolling Stones Rock room and we closed it down every night. They also have BBKings blues club, fabulous and a duo playing in the piano bar, The food is second to none. They have great burgers, and fries at the lido. Ships are spotless and crew amazing. You will enjoy

Totally agree with everything you said today!!! I don't get why people have to put others down because they don't think the same as them. People are different, cruise lines are different. That gives you a choice. If you don't like a specific cruise line, don't go on it. We don't need to hear that it is terrible.

GREAT video, Tony. Because cruisers all cruise for varioys reasons, IE: meet new people, have fun, be entertained, eat extra special food, destinations and explorations, drink, get dressed up, relax and be casual and laid back, hook up, listen to lectures, dance and enjoy a certain type of music. And the list goes on, including the budget. Various cruise lines tend to cater to a specific type of person just by what they offer. Doesn't make them bad or good...just unappealing to the cruisers looking for a different experience.
We find something to do on every cruise ship. Holland does not "close down early" they have clubs that are open later. Maybe not as rowdy (active) as other lines, but very nice ships and food, etc.

My wife and I are on a fixed income, and we can afford 1 cruise a year. We've sailed 5 times on Carnival and 2 on Royal Caribbean. Would we like to try Celebrity or Princess or Holland American? Sure, but most likely not happening. And I'm not the least embarrassed being a Carnival cruiser...
Holland has lots to do especially their Music Walk. They have a kids club for the few kids that do sail. On Holland we can actually get in the pool because it isn't inundated with kids. We have sailed NCL and Carnival but way too many kids for us. Those lines are definitely for the younger folks. Nothing against kids as we have 10 grandchildren but we also like to enjoy our vacation too! I wish folks would follow protocols on board for everyone's safety.
I’ll be honest, when I saw the “kids cruise free” banner on HAL’s website yesterday, my heart sank. I am a loyal HAL cruiser (and the mom of a couple of twentysomethings), and I love kids, but I don’t want a lot of them on my cruise. Even if I could convince my son to wear short pants, I don’t think I could convince him to go on a cruise - he’s in the Navy, and already does lots of ca-ruising 😀
On Carnival Mardi Gras right now having a great time relaxing on the Serenity deck and everyone I have met have been delightful. Be kind to each other!

I have been on Carnival and Princess. Same clients. I have had the same PVP for 11 years. Just a comfortable factor with Carnival. After we retire I sure we will try many brands.
My husband and I have been cruisi with HAL for twenty years, and they do attract an older crowd. We're in our 60's now. There are plenty of things to do, and they have great activities for children.
HAL has the best music experience. They do not “shut down early”. Yes, there are a lot of older cruisers but that is because HAL offers the traditional cruising environment. If you are more into activities like slides, wave riding, and other similar activities HAL may not be for you. The HAL departure ports are limited. I am 4 Stars on HAL but also Diamond Plus on RCI. Tony, I love preacher Tony! Actually I haven’t found a Tony I don’t like!

I love you Tony!! You’re simply the best ☺️. I really and truly think your thoughts and mindset are ‘bang on’ I’ve cruised on Carnival for a total of 150 days. And on RC for 8 days. I have been on a 4 day, 7 day, 8, 14, 15, 17 day and back to back cruises. I have noticed the clientele is different depending on the length of the cruise. I think Carnival is a wonderful cruise line and has my loyalty. My 2 sisters and I will be on the 14 day Carnival Hawaiian cruise at the end of November.

Hi, Tony! I like your channel very much because of your general concept and common sense. I am going to take my first Carnival cruise line in the end of this Nov. 2021. It will be from west coast. I have not tried Carnival cruise line because I heard a lots of comments about parties and noise from young groups on Carnival. I am introverted and do not like to join party. That was why I did not take Carnival cruises. This time I picked Carnival cruise as my first cruise ship for ending isolation in last two years. I want to find out answers by myself and want to be off from depression.
HAL is my favorite line that I've been on. Less glitz and glamor, but also a lot fewer kids. I don't like that they're trying to bring on more kids, part of what I really like about them is that when there ARE kids there, the parents seem to be more responsible, as opposed to, say, NCL, where a lot of parents seem to think "Ah, they're on a ship, where can they go?" and just let their uncivilized little rugrats run wild.
I have cruised on most lines. I return to NCL (Haven) most. I am very impressed with their COVID protocol. 100% vaccinated crew & passengers, check in testing offered by the cruise line , no masks. No one is forcing us to be cruisers… research the cruise Lines and sail with those with the protocols that fit your style.
If you like great music venues, great service, beautiful ships and wonderful food you will love Holland America. Yes they do have more gray hairs than Carnival or Royal Caribbean but that has a lot to do with their classic ships with no amusement parks up on the deck and their wonderful itineraries
HAL sounds great! We've always cruised Carnival and I don't think I would miss the amusement rides or anything like that.Holland sounds like it's a very refined ship, and I'm getting to the age where I want peace and just to be able to enjoy the cruise. Carnival is the 1st cruise line we tried, so we are very loyal, but maybe it's time for new blood! Happy Sails!!
I'm with you in your mini-rant. There were some over-the-top party people on my Carnival cruise, and there were some families who weren't keeping their kids in check, but most of the people were just people. Heck, I was on the cruise and I'm the laid-back, introvert type who just wants to chill and not have to do the dishes or cook my own food for a few days. I meant to have an alcoholic drink (I intended to get the obligatory photo of myself with the ocean or a port in the background, holding a drink with an umbrella in it) but I forgot. I've never understood the disdain in which many people hold Carnival cruisers. I do want to try other lines, and will, and I'm hoping the next one is NCL because of their vaccine status rules, but I fully intend to sail with Carnival again. I had a really good time. Preaching Tony only preaches when preaching is needed. I don't like him being needed but I'm there when he is. I'm really liking super-hyper Tony, though!
AMEN!! Ok so yes I heard all the stories about Carnival.. and I avoided it like the plague .. but I finally said enough and tried it for myself and you know what I had an amazing time... Service was good, food was great.. there is literally something for everyone on that cruise line.. I'm so glad I gave them a try!!
Some of my favourite vloggers are Carnival aficionados. So though I never been on a Carnival ship (I've only done 2 sea cruises) they can hardly be 'the worst' if these people love the cruises and cruise themselves on Carnival!

My 88 year old dad says he loves Holland America because it makes him feel so young (relative to the other cruisers) lol. He seems to think it’s an “older crowd”.
There are different cruise lines and different ships for different people. Just because someone poo poos on a line/ship doesn’t mean it’s not perfect for someone else. Let people make their own choices and just have fun👍🏼

I am curious whether this is a test as a result of requests from cruisers with children... Thank you, Tony. I’m new to the community but I met people exactly like this while on my first cruise recently. It didn’t change my mind about trying a different cruiseline. It only affected my opinion about those people. Watching your videos prepared me well for my cruise and my family and I had a great time. I’m booked on a Carnival cruise now with my son over Christmas. Can’t wait to be there.
You pose a great question Tony! I've been fortunate to have sailed over 20 plus cruises in the last 10 years and half Carnival and half RCCL. I think it depends on where you sail out of? Our last cruise was a Carnival and the comedian who was performing one night called the cruise a Section 8 cruise and honestly it was a very different cruise that I have experienced on a Carnival ship. We still plan on sailing on Carnival but our next cruise is in 62 days on the Caribbean Princess out of Ft. Lauderdale.
A section 8 cruise? That's rather insulting! I do have friends who are on section 8 who are very good people, they just have either physical or mental issues that have them relying on disability checks, but are not low class types.

You know, my first few cruises were on RC and I started to develop this uppity attitude about it. I had been told that Carnival was horrible and without having first hand experience I started sharing this sentiment. I was young and stupid. We then had an opportunity to sail with NCL and enjoyed it very much. We found each line to have different strengths and highlights, but neither was superior to the other. But, at that time I still thought Carnival was crap!! Then in 2018, our family decided to go on a cruise for our family reunion. The only week we all could take and afford was, you guessed it, a Carnival cruise. I wasn’t excited about it. I kept my focus on my family time. Then, we got on the Carnival cruise and I LOVED IT!!!! Again, it had different strengths, but I had not one single negative thing to say!!! So, I’m now at the point where I will pretty much cruise on any line and will choose more based on itinerary, price and days at sea! Tony, I love how you are such an advocate for cruising. From someone who works in the hospitality industry - we need a lot more people like you around!!
Glad you were willing to adjust your attitude for the better! I have only cruised on Carnival, and LOVE it! Sometimes it gets a little noisy, but there are quiet areas I can go to if it gets too overwhelming!
My first 2 cruises with the family were with Carnival and we had a GREAT time! I’m going on my first RC cruise in a few weeks and trying to keep an open mind. So far, I feel like everything is more expensive. From the drink packages to shore excursions. We fished out so much $$ already. I hope it will be worth the total cost. 🙏
I have only been on carnival and it's affordable, haven't been on other cruise lines but some people have no respect and it doesn't matter where it's at, cruise line, air line grocery store there will always be people that think that way, good job Tony

Agreed. I’ve been on many carnival cruises and have never had an issue with any of the people. With that I’ve been on one Royal cruise and there was an issue with a women who felt she shouldn’t or couldn’t be told no. She was super entitled. But only one royal cruise so small sample size.

I've been on 15 carnival cruises. Never had an issue with any passengers on any of them. I met lots of friends that are still friends today!
I was so surprised when I saw part of the title because I know you guys are big supporters of the Carnival cruise line. It was good to hear you defend the brand. We have gone on a total of three Carnival cruises and always run into good people on the ship. The community is so lucky to have people like you who take the time to go on the different cruise lines and tell us about your experience. Knowing the details about what to expect while on the ship will eventually help people make better choices when choosing to cruise. Thanks for all the great information!!

Yes agree!! I don't think the cruiselines will relax them anytime soon and try to enforce them as much as they can. People need to stop and think that most of the caribbean ports have tougher protocols then the cruise lines.
When we took Holland America to Alaska, we were 57 & 52, and EVERYWHERE that we went and were recognized or noticed by fellow passengers that we had shared dinner or an excursion, we would be met with "Look everyone, it's THE KIDS!" Literally, without fail, we were ALWAYS referred to as "THE KIDS!" As you well know, Alaska is a GREAT cruise, and we were fortunate enough to have added an additional five-day land tour as well, including three-days in Denali. Holland America is more of an upscale mainstream cruise line. Even before the pandemic, the crew would serve you in the Buffet, and there are clothe towels in the restrooms rather than paper or blow dryers. DEFINITELY not a lot of late night activities, as after 10pm the decks are pretty much a ghost town. Still, there are no bad cruises - just bad cruise passengers! Safe travels
Love Carnival for the itineraries, socialization trivia, comedy club and the piano bar. Love Royal’s Oasis class ships for all of the physical activities. They are both great! 65 years young cruiser! 🛳

We love Carnival. My husband feels that Carnival caters to the working class and we’re happy cruising with them. We’ve had only positive experiences on our Carnival cruises. We did 2 cruises just before the pandemic and have had 2 since and have 2 more scheduled. People are friendly and we’ve had some great conversations. Carnival Cruisers ROCK! 💜💜🦄🦄

I have cruised with several lines. There are two lines I won’t even attempt to cruise on anymore. But Carnival is me and my boys favourite line. I would like to try a couple more lines to see if we like them but for now we are happy to cruise. One line I didn’t like had too many drunks and people trashing things. Everyone has their favourite vacation and that’s great because if everyone wanted to go to one spot there wouldn’t be a spot to go to.

Here's something about Holland that you might be attracted to. They are very committed to Live Music and have multiple venues featuring it including BB King's lounge and a dueling pianos type bar. It's fun.
Sounds awesome!!! I just wish Holland America had cruises that embarked from Galveston or New Orleans. We don't want to fly and driving to Florida is a lot of driving for us.
we found Holland to be a bit lacking in activities. sorry, but didn't care for the bland food on board. Everyone has differing wants/needs.
Tony, your preaching was justified! We are retired and we like every cruise line. With the hassles of traveling, we are doing more cruises out of Long Beach where we can easily drive to the port. Those cruises are Carnival and we have had nothing but excellent experiences. We have experienced rude guests on every cruise line. But I must say that the rudest most entitled guests we have experienced have been on Disney. We love Disney, but the entitlement factor is often off the charts. We have yet to cruise on Holland, but we have a 45 night South Pacific cruise scheduled with them next year. Thanks you for your great videos!

We may eventually try Carnival, but I heard the entertainment wasn't that great and the food was just ok. Definitely not interested in Disney.

My husband and I cruise Holland all the time. We are both early 50’s and yes Holland does have an older clientele. There is plenty to do and the crew members are amazing. We love it as there aren’t many kids and all the kids amenities onboard. Will have to see how the next few cruises go with the new kids free cruises.

I love Carnival. I have sailed with RC before as well but prefer Carnival. Everyone has there own preference. I’m sure I’ll try other ones someday just not now 🙂

I have cruised on HAL many many times and I am older and met many younger couples, they have wonderful bands and entertainment. They have the Rolling Stones Rock room and we closed it down every night. They also have BBKings blues club, fabulous and a duo playing in the piano bar, The food is second to none. They have great burgers, and fries at the lido.
Ships are spotless and crew amazing. You will enjoy

I appreciate all you do for us! I agree with your message today! Someone told me Carnival was the “Walmart of the cruising world” took me a minute to realize I was supposed to be offended by that. It didn’t offend me because not much does normally. I don’t have time for that. But what surprised me about that comment was it was from someone that has never cruised any line… ever… so why do they care? I don’t understand the effort some people put into things that mean absolutely nothing. If I had time and energy to spare I would totally use it to build someone up instead of spewing nonsense. Because cruisers all cruise for varioys reasons, IE: meet new people, have fun, be entertained, eat extra special food, destinations and explorations, drink, get dressed up, relax and be casual and laid back, hook up, listen to lectures, dance and enjoy a certain type of music. And the list goes on, including the budget.
Various cruise lines tend to cater to a specific type of person just by what they offer. Doesn't make them bad or good...just unappealing to the cruisers looking for a different experience.
We find something to do on every cruise ship. Holland does not "close down early" they have clubs that are open later. Maybe not as rowdy (active) as other lines, but very nice ships and food, etc.

My wife and I are on a fixed income, and we can afford 1 cruise a year. We've sailed 5 times on Carnival and 2 on Royal Caribbean. Would we like to try Celebrity or Princess or Holland American? Sure, but most likely not happening. And I'm not the least embarrassed being a Carnival cruiser...
You might be interested in the prices on Holland America. They are affordable. I am rather frugal and I am happy with their prices.

Holland has lots to do especially their Music Walk. They have a kids club for the few kids that do sail. On Holland we can actually get in the pool because it isn't inundated with kids. We have sailed NCL and Carnival but way too many kids for us. Those lines are definitely for the younger folks. Nothing against kids as we have 10 grandchildren but we also like to enjoy our vacation too! I wish folks would follow protocols on board for everyone's safety.

I’ll be honest, when I saw the “kids cruise free” banner on HAL’s website yesterday, my heart sank. I am a loyal HAL cruiser (and the mom of a couple of twentysomethings), and I love kids, but I don’t want a lot of them on my cruise. Even if I could convince my son to wear short pants, I don’t think I could convince him to go on a cruise - he’s in the Navy, and already does lots of ca-ruising 😀

I have been on Carnival and Princess. Same clients. I have had the same PVP for 11 years. Just a comfortable factor with Carnival. After we retire I sure we will try many brands.
My husband and I have been cruisi with HAL for twenty years, and they do attract an older crowd. We're in our 60's now. There are plenty of things to do, and they have great activities for children.

HAL has the best music experience. They do not “shut down early”. Yes, there are a lot of older cruisers but that is because HAL offers the traditional cruising environment. If you are more into activities like slides, wave riding, and other similar activities HAL may not be for you. The HAL departure ports are limited. I am 4 Stars on HAL but also Diamond Plus on RCI. Tony, I love preacher Tony! Actually I haven’t found a Tony I don’t like!

I’ve cruised on Carnival for a total of 150 days. And on RC for 8 days.
I have been on a 4 day, 7 day, 8, 14, 15, 17 day and back to back cruises. I have noticed the clientele is different depending on the length of the cruise. I think Carnival is a wonderful cruise line and has my loyalty.
My 2 sisters and I will be on the 14 day Carnival Hawaiian cruise at the end of November.

Hi, Tony! I like your channel very much because of your general concept and common sense. I am going to take my first Carnival cruise line in the end of this Nov. 2021. It will be from west coast. I have not tried Carnival cruise line because I heard a lots of comments about parties and noise from young groups on Carnival. I am introverted and do not like to join party. That was why I did not take Carnival cruises. This time I picked Carnival cruise as my first cruise ship for ending isolation in last two years. I want to find out answers by myself and want to be off from depression.

HAL is my favorite line that I've been on. Less glitz and glamor, but also a lot fewer kids. I don't like that they're trying to bring on more kids, part of what I really like about them is that when there ARE kids there, the parents seem to be more responsible, as opposed to, say, NCL, where a lot of parents seem to think "Ah, they're on a ship, where can they go?" and just let their uncivilized little rugrats run wild.
I have cruised on most lines. I return to NCL (Haven) most. I am very impressed with their COVID protocol. 100% vaccinated crew & passengers, check in testing offered by the cruise line , no masks. No one is forcing us to be cruisers… research the cruise Lines and sail with those with the protocols that fit your style.
If you like great music venues, great service, beautiful ships and wonderful food you will love Holland America. Yes they do have more gray hairs than Carnival or Royal Caribbean but that has a lot to do with their classic ships with no amusement parks up on the deck and their wonderful itineraries
HAL sounds great! We've always cruised Carnival and I don't think I would miss the amusement rides or anything like that.Holland sounds like it's a very refined ship, and I'm getting to the age where I want peace and just to be able to enjoy the cruise. Carnival is the 1st cruise line we tried, so we are very loyal, but maybe it's time for new blood! Happy Sails!!

I'm with you in your mini-rant. There were some over-the-top party people on my Carnival cruise, and there were some families who weren't keeping their kids in check, but most of the people were just people. Heck, I was on the cruise and I'm the laid-back, introvert type who just wants to chill and not have to do the dishes or cook my own food for a few days. I meant to have an alcoholic drink (I intended to get the obligatory photo of myself with the ocean or a port in the background, holding a drink with an umbrella in it) but I forgot. I've never understood the disdain in which many people hold Carnival cruisers. I do want to try other lines, and will, and I'm hoping the next one is NCL because of their vaccine status rules, but I fully intend to sail with Carnival again. I had a really good time.
Preaching Tony only preaches when preaching is needed. I don't like him being needed but I'm there when he is. I'm really liking super-hyper Tony, though!

Some of my favourite vloggers are Carnival aficionados. So though I never been on a Carnival ship (I've only done 2 sea cruises) they can hardly be 'the worst' if these people love the cruises and cruise themselves on Carnival!

It only affected my opinion about those people. Watching your videos prepared me well for my cruise and my family and I had a great time. I've been fortunate to have sailed over 20 plus cruises in the last 10 years and half Carnival and half RCCL. I think it depends on where you sail out of?
Our last cruise was a Carnival and the comedian who was performing one night called the cruise a Section 8 cruise and honestly it was a very different cruise that I have experienced on a Carnival ship.
We still plan on sailing on Carnival but our next cruise is in 62 days on the Caribbean Princess out of Ft. Lauderdale.
A section 8 cruise? That's rather insulting! I do have friends who are on section 8 who are very good people, they just have either physical or mental issues that have them relying on disability checks, but are not low class types.
We love Carnival, we sail on the magic, November 28 from cape Canaveral, I have stock in the company, and are doing well with it , 💜Thomas from Saint Augustine Florida, thank you for saying things straight !!
