Planes, trains and automobiles. We rely on them to get us to and from wherever we want to go. But when something gets a little too old, or technology makes it obsolete, we'll buy something new, and we'll usually sell our old method of transport. Sometimes though, instead of being sold, things just get lost or abandoned. In this video, we're going to talk about some of the most astonishing abandoned vehicles that have ever been found. Let's get to it!

The Buran orbiters spent time in space, 3 hours, 25 minutes and 22 seconds to be precise, doing 2 orbits of the Earth on its one mission into space on 15th of November 1988.
The USSR only built 2 of them, and they were both destroyed in a hanger collapse in 2002.

Da-Mad Modler...'Tis true that the Soviets' sent up their shuttle before the USA/NASA...The Buran isn't a NASA built shuttle BUT it is a very close copy of NASA's original idea. They didn't steal the plans...Open source information supplied by NASA that the Soviets just copied meant that they could build that machine without doing all the research necessary. The Buran never carried a crew. It flew completely autonomously and landed as described in the comment above. It isn't BS...it is historical fact. But don't look that up....

One reason the military left Puerto Rico, particularly the USAF was shortly after some anti-U.S. terrorists ambushed a tourist bus that was enroute to Ramey AFB, on a return shopping trip to San Juan. The majority of passengers, mostly female family members of the men assigned to the SAC Bomb Wing there, were slaughtered. Amazing how one doesn't hear of any incidents like this in the current anti-conservative, anti-military environment.

That is an Iosef Stalin 3, you can tell with the pike nose frontal armor and unique turret. The IS-3 was the first tank ever built that was able to deflect a round from a Pak 43 anititank gun. The IS-2 is known for a normal front armor application with a lower plate, top plate, and slanted left and right plates. The IS-1 was pretty much the exact same but with a weaker frontal armor setup due to the flat angles which allow rounds to penetrate it earlier. The IS-1 instead of having one upper plate, had two plates that if you put together make a right triangle.

one abandoned vehicle i find interesting is the USS Richard Montgomery. a US Military Supply Ship that was used during WW2, on a supply run to the UK they almost made port at the Pier in Southend-On-Sea but it ran aground with a TON of explosives on it. the wreck is still there to this day, rusting away as it can't be moved. it sits between 2 major shipping lanes and the explosives are now incredibly unstable making any movement impossible. its cornered off and regularly patrolled by the RNLI but its still visible at low tide with the masts still standing tall.

Interesting video... unfortunately the producer doesn't seem to be able to keep to footage of the objects being discussed, way too obvious in the segment about the German submarine where they blend in footage of modern submarines with limited footage of the actual submarine in question. This makes it impossible to know if I am seeing the actual cars found in the yard of a house to demolished or just similar vehicles... thus earning them a big thumbs down.

    Pike nose

    Rounder turret
And more less obvious differences, you really should have got that basic fact right its very obvious to be a IS-3
