    Love them and made them often. Thank you for a great recipe. This time I was out of Mirin. Anything else you can substitute for Mirin at short notice?

      What is mirin and is there a substitute
      You can always buy mirin online, but if you're really in a crunch, you can sub in a dry sherry or a sweet marsala wine. Dry white wine or rice vinegar will also do, though you'll need to counteract the sourness with about a 1/2 teaspoon of sugar for every tablespoon you use.

    This was so good. I didn’t have mirin so I substituted with sherry. Thanks for this easy and fast recipe

    These needed salt very much, which isn’t in the ingredients

      Soy sauce is already very salty.
