To be fair, I love K, but that is not what he does. He invites you to think, which means you can disagree with you. But you'd expect some discussion. Inviting followers to think with you and then telling them what to think is kind of a strange move. I don't necessarily disagree with him, but let's not make this process look holier than strictly necessary. In my opinion either everything is holy or nothing is. This may have been the best thing for some, but it is not a general principle.

Krishnamurti is defining life as an addiction. I agree. At the back end, life is being pushed by the stick of fear, and at the front end, attracted to the carrot of hope. It’s our human imagination that makes life seem more rewarding than it actually is (the carrot) and makes the sting of fear that much more commanding. But while both of these dominating imaginative strains have been in the service of human survival, they also secure in stone the addictive quality of life.

I'm starting to see that all that I am as a person is just past memories recycling themselves. Every single thought the mind creates is soaked in the past, there seems to be almost never anything new, maybe 1% of it comes from seeing what is right now but I am probably being generous.

If there is no conflict between the two people, love will take place between them. If there is love, there is compassion. The love and compassion together is a different kind of intelligence, for getting to that state one has to be watchful.

Death is losing everything we are or have, including self, awareness, memories, thoughts, and... consciousness. Other than that is delved to belief, and K talked about it: "As far as truth is concerned, belief has no place".

So considering all these should we really attach our self to any thing.
I lost my love and it become difficult for me to live it is due to my attachment with the person we can't fulfill every expectation of ours and loved once so why to attach give pain to others and self when expectation does not fulfilled.

Because the sarcasm is not stemming out of hatred. It's stemming out of love and genuine care for us. Love can never hate anything. It knows certain things are false and must not be touched. Yet the false-ness is originating out of the divine intervention and therefore, there's nothing to hate. There's only - see the truth.

It is hard to explain in any language but meditation will break it down for you , reincarnation is a human construct IMHO

Dihelson Mendonca, I don't care who they're quoting from. Go back and read my original comment and reply here. The point here is not to quote from anybody. Why? Because it's easy to quote somebody and sound spiritual or wise. I was using krishnamurti as an example (not quoting him) in that he does not go around quoting so-called philosophers or wise people. So my point was not whether a person is right or wrong within the context of the quote itself but just going around using quotes to substitute for your own wisdom or experience.

Fernanda is very correct. Soul is an idea put there by Thought. It is one more creation just like God and heaven. Because humans are basically Ego centric, These ideas created by thought and ego always become an impediment in realization to "what is" and there is no freedom as long as we stick to the idea of soul, what happens after death, after life exist in our thoughts.

Dear Kush, the way to understand this is to go into the question of "who am I?" Let's begin with- we are the body. What else are we made up of? The person you call Kush- what is he made up of? The unique Kush- his experiences, his ideas, his memories? What else? There's also that which is common to all humans. Is Kush made of that too?
This is very long search and we must start somewhere, anywhere. & It hugely helps to approach this in a SIMPLE manner.
Anyway, the answers are all within us. Listen to more of Krishnamurti, other videos or written content. He'll show you, the answers will come if you just listen. Listening is one of the most important things. He has spoken about listening also.

If you listen to him for hours you will get to nowhere. He wants you to figure out the answers yourselves/ yourself. Each should wake up to his individuality and to understand that he can decide for himself..many times we cannot be totally free from our Societies, Religions and other traditions and laws, but we have to keep trying. Lot of issues in our existence need to be studied and observed, but we are connected to the source of life and energy and intelligence wether we deny it or not wether we like it or not. Questions like where I have come from, and where I'm going and to whom are the most crucial dilemma in our lifetime. The Source / God is available to show us the truth, If we connect our heart and mind to the hidden chambers of the Soul. May we all find peace and harmony in our mind and world as well.

Well said sir, but what is the source of creation? What is God if i may ask? Which god? Your god? Or one of 300000 other indian gods? And why your god (Rome) and not another (Arabic) or another god (chinese).

I highly doubt that he's asking you to wake up to your "individuality". I know you didn't say "K said that". But the way you have written sounds like you know what he means. Unfortunately that's just your interpretation- what you think he means. It may not be what he means.

Actually, the belief in rebirth is not necessarily comforting. On the contrary, it may be unsettling, because you can't be sure where you'll wind up. I suspect that many cling to the theory of rebirth because they can't relate to the formless background, or to emptiness. People relate to people or other beings (with bodies and personalities). That which has no body or personality seems too alien to most people. So quite naturally they respond with fear or revulsion; it doesn't seem an attractive proposition. They avoid going into the matter. They don't want liberation.

    - After studying under Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj on you-tube, I do agree that our unique state of I am-ness, minus the physical memories, become attached to the pure state of absolute reality, after the death of the physical body.
    - Wether we recognize it or not, during our life, the same awareness of pure absolute reality is what, was responsible for us, to recognize our individual unique I am-ness, in the physical body and made it possible for us to have recordable experiences.
    - Therefore, it makes sense that after the death of the physical, our unique I am-ness recognition which seemed physical, minus the physical memories, will link up to the divine mind of Pure Awareness, or what we call God.
    - Just maybe the Pure Mind of God adopts what is liked from all the discarded physical minds of experiences, and they become attached to the divine mind of absolute reality, and if God did not adopt something from a human source, your unique I am-ness still gets carried thru because it is not time bound, but belongs to the absolute reality, which is not subject to birth or death.
    - Therefore the unique state of I am-ness that we should recognize, in the physical body, gets transitioned over to the state of oneness, of the pure absolute reality after physical death.
    - This means our transitioned unique I am-ness, becomes a pure oneness with God, rather than a unique oneness with a physical body.
    - And of course this has nothing to do with the myth of reincarnation..

extremely inappropriate teachings for this world! People are just listening but not practicing, plus they are not interested in the very difficult radical change without the pleasurable distractions of illusion. "There is no spring with only a flower". Krishnamurti has been either extremely unwise or he represented the interests of those who've payed him. The truth can neither be spoken or written beyond the fact that rarely IT can be bared!

Krishnamurti why don't you just say you don't know and be done with it instead of your logic about attachment. Look, for heavens sake if you really want to know what happens after you die just go to the graveyard and ask the god damn dead people. For heaven's sake the guy is asking what happens after you physically die while K is talking about psychologically ending all attachments. I understand what he is saying but that is not the question. Actually good answer. Here is another thing, there are actually no answers at all. From the so called self perspective this sounds rather morbid and terrible. But say from the perspective of consciousness ( for the lack of a better word) , it does not need answers at all. So now what the hell? :)
So the whole trip is about dissolving the center which is me ( which is a thing that is put together by what roughly called time) or time is self/me etc. Round and round it goes. When this so called time dissolve, the timeless open horizon ( which is poetic in itself of course, a metaphor) is what is left.

There is no experience without an experiencer. That is what he is always trying to say. There is no division between "thinker" and "thought" so if you think there is, you are living in an illusion. Why? Because when you say "I think" you divide thought, which is one to "I" and "thoughts". So there is no experience at all. If you think there is, it is the same illusion.

One always thinks in physical mind, your physical form is irrelevant, you experience life as human, as worm ,bird, etc. So be kind to all sentient being , because you as conscious will experience the same w what you do to other living being. It is hard to explain, but meditation will break it down for you , reincarnation is a human construct IMHO

This guy cannot answer questions properly and to the point..he answers are unsatisfactory and told haphazardly without any relevance to the things asked.

He said basically that death means ending all attachments and continuity. That's a very clear answer. Did you watch the video?

@indrani sarma, his answers are unsatisfactory because if he gave a neat answer, the audience would be content with an intellectual explanation for things. They wouldn't be involved in the thinking process. And that is what he does, gives a running commentary on his observation of reality which involves the audience more deeply in really introspecting.

'This guy'....hmm. Have some more respect and humility because you are referring to an enlightened soul. That's the least you can do. Perhaps that's too much to ask of you.

Please watch the videos many times Indrani. What he says is something that can’t be understood in one streaming of the video. He says “end one thing right now that’s precious to you to understand what death means”. That’s an ocean of wisdom given away for free. To make more sense of it pls give it more time
