This was definitely a balls out track. Extremely fast with little to no run-off area's anywhere. How more people weren't killed here is something beyond belief.

Especially with the incidents involving deer: 1972 - Tim Schenken narrowly missed one at about the same location as... 1987 - the Stefan Johansson/deer collision at the_'Rindt Kurve'_ .... _"Because of the crest, you had to turn in blindly, you aimed at the track marshals' crate outside the bend, then you knew that the line into the following bend was halfway right. On the highest point of the crest, the car became very light each time, and then I saw the cattle - a red deer just made an effort to sit comfortably on the asphalt!"_ 2001 - And another episode of a deer crossing during qualifying according to the pit crew of Juan-Pablo Montoya.

The Boschkurve looked like a superb corner, albeit a dangerous one.

The "A-ring" is a mere shadow of what was once there... the Österreichring.
