    Crumbs @6:35: That's prolly one of the best battle sets I have seen him do ever! Even though there are a few other bboys who have done remarkable stuff since the 1997-2002 time period, I actually think that Crumbs could be the most influential bboy in bboy history, considering how many moves, tricks, and combos have been inspired by him.

      He’s the first dude to do slow motion halo’s.

    That battle set at 6:50 from Crumbs was too OP for any Bboy to beat at that time. Deng. Even that battle set would make nowaday Bboys be lost for words. No way to respond back to it. The longest hype and cheering from a crowd I've ever heard for any Bboy set. Period. Monster.
    However, both Benji and Crumbs at the time were unbeatable. Two legends.

    Both Bboys were awesome. Both have unique styles.
    Here's a little battle review. :P
    Crumbs won it in my opinion... You have to remember that when you breakdance, you have to actually DANCE. Bboying isn't all about just pulling stunts and doing acrobatic moves. You have to be on beat y'know. You have to actually dance and date the music. Benji was hardly on beat while Crumbs was killing the Dance floor.
    Benji crashed lots of times. Plus he kept repeating his moves every round.
    While Crumbs on the other hand, pulled every move perfectly and on beat. His moves were on the flow. He had newly themed sets every round.
    Benji had great moves + style.
    Crumbs had great moves + style + good rhythm + spirit.
    Crumbs won it, no doubt in my mind.
    This battle also reminds me of the classic BC One battle, Sonic vs Rubberlegz. It totally relates to this battle in my opinion.

    Say what you want about Benji, at the time the things he was doing were pretty new/unseen. Too bad he didn't DANCE along with that new technology!

      It was different back then. Benji brought a different battle element to the crowd; he got the crowd hype by facing toward them and immersing them into the battle. Nobody else did that back then (don't know if Salah was around but I don't remember him being active at that time). Lots of French bboys applied this specific tactic when battling; Bboy Ismael from Pokemon being another one who ALWAYS did that shit. The French culture also has alot to do with it as well.

    Legendary battle! PROPS TO BOTH EXTREMELY TALENTED AND ORIGINAL DANCERS...
    The booing and hater comments on Benji's behalf was and is completely unnecessary.

    One dances and one should be in a circus. One dances facing his opponents and one only faces the crowd.

    Crumbs vs. Benji or Benji vs. Crumbs battles were one of those epic-thrilling-Dope-ASS b-Boying in the history of this thing. Man
    (Anyone can tell me any like good"rivalry" good b-Boying battles that are out there presently. Just would like to see more good historical battling)

    I still dont see how ppl say benji won...crumbs repeated less..had full total sets...went with the music and was complete. Yes, Benji had crazy blowups and was off the wall but crumbs in his prime was un-fuck-wit-able

    the crowd booed at benji cause in his last set he was trying to pull Crumb`s pants down, but failed. still great battle, Benji is crowd pleasant while Crumbs take this as a battle, a fighting dance.

    In the recent stuff that I've seen from Benji, he's a lot cleaner now. All that crashing back then just looked ugly.

    • @masteryas21
      @masteryas21 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Have you seen benji taking part to a battle recently? All he does are trailers in his bedroom... of course he will look cleaner in a trailer of his training... when it comes to battle, he got no flavor, no style, no bboying... amazing tricks though! But can u win a bboying battle just with tricks?

    • @omegaweapon116
      @omegaweapon116 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea I saw one of his recent battles. His tricks are impressive but I prefer when the moves flow together more like KMEL, Roxrite, Crumbs, Remind, etc...

    a friend of mine gave me a copy back then . the original , if all ya wonder why they booed him is because after the first sets ( 4 rounds ) benji went over try to shake his hands and then he did the childish stunt pull down crumbs pants yry to make fun of him .

      Theodore Willhelm thanks for the info. Damn, the crowd gave benji what he deserved, a good booing from your home nation.
