Nice one David, definitely the right decision to move. Love the Seal. Thanks for sharing. It was nearly 'David Hiking, Fishing and Swimming' again.

Better safe than sorry. Many years since I was in Abersoch. Some nice family holidays. Time for a revisit. Best wishes.

@hiking57 that also makes alot of sense. We have afew celebs living this way cos it's secluded vibes. Tess Daleys parents are from Hayfield x

Nice area mate, I've always wanted to give sea fishing a go, I used to fish for carp but I'm clueless about sea angling. I've only ever caught mackerel, mullet and garfish

Hi David, you did the right thing there buddy! Amazing the difference a bit of wind can make to high water times. Looks like the sort of mark that could throw up a tope? Take care pal 😊👍

Yea definitely the wind increased the tide. It would be an awkward spot to land anything big, since learned by a diver that there’s plenty bass there hugging the rocks. Will try it again on a smaller tide.👍

Yes definitely better to be safe than sorry! Those swells looked like they were getting bigger. That is a beautiful spot for fishing, The seal that you spotted was cute too. 👍😊

Well, that’s a coincidence! Did you film this yesterday?
I’d come down for a spear and was planning to dive here. I saw the rollers coming in at Criccieth and decided against it and went for a dive on the North Coast instead.
It’s a nice spot, I dived it a couple of weeks back, it’s not super deep. I headed off up the coast and found some good bass.
Word of warning to all. I fell pretty badly on the path on the way back, nearly broke my ankle. Pays to keep your wits about you on the coastal paths!

@@hiking57 ah, fair enough, I was down on June 30th. I could see the swell smashing on the Islands as I was driving through Mynytho, it was filthy! To be fair, the North Coast was vile as well, even in a relatively sheltered spot the swell was getting on for 1m 🤢 funnily enough, I get seasick really badly, was sick a couple of times but still had a good day, although didn’t spend that long in the water - got a nice bass and a coalfish, which I don’t see too often.
Regarding the spot in the video, If you’re casting towards the islands, you’ll hit sand quite quickly. If I was fishing it, I’d fish close in, that’s were I was seeing all the bass, they were mainly hanging around in the sand / weed line. I’d be chucking lures horizontal to the cliff, not straight out or maybe a sandeel on a float, about 10 yards out 👍🏼
