Nice one John, showing as it is, even though you blanked, im jealous that you were out there fishing. This weekend on the conga, im sure theres a big one with yr name on it 👍👍
Another great interesting video johno I've never finished there but looks good for easy parking and fishing pity you had no luck again but that's the way it goes all the best from Paul from Staffordshire 🇬🇧 👍
Cracking vid mate. Feeling your pain but it's better being out than not! Up fleetwood way, there's a few good codling [and the odd bass and ray] coming out as well as plenty of whiting, plaice and rockling. I never catch them like but I'm told they're there! If you fancy a jaunt to the bright lights of Blackpool, I know some quality spots to catch sweet f/a!
Great video pal, I've been watching all your videos lately good to see some decent fish coming out of local venues. I was fishing to the right of Leighton that night - he outfished us all! I was in the same spot the previous night aswell chasing the cod but no joy. Nice mark to fish though. Looking fwd to the next fishing video!
I almost felt sorry for you when u said you were going to fish near the jetty. I used to take my kids 'crabbing' of it with a drop-net and it would come back in with at least 40-50 crabs in a matter of minutes! I last fished the river in the early 90's and would fish from low water up, towards the mouth of the estuary where I could cast into the main channel towards a moored buoy. Plenty of Codling on lugworm, but the crabs would strip them bare this time of year, especially with the water being so warm. The river was always known for big Bass and Flounders.
The kids fish for crabs off that pontoon,it's crab city.To avoid the crabs, you could use polystyrene balls to lift the bait about a foot above the sea bed.Or,trot a float down.If you go about 200yds to the left of the pontoon, the sandbanks start. We launch from there, and keep to the left to avoid the sandbanks and head towards the 'Bibbing tunnels' then swing right and fish off the great orme.
Nice one. I've fished there a few times just odd codling and flounders at very close range, could be worth another go during or after this northerly blow. 👍
Four reasons is the best charter boat I’ve had , the lads son took us out , dishes the wreck for big congers , and I got a lobster aswell , been chartering for 10’s of years , there gr8
I know the feeling mate, but we always need to look at the bright side. You been out doing what you love doing, fresh air by the water, the next catch will be more appreciated. Here where I am in Scotland, we have far less species then you have where you are, I have more blanks than fisherman down south, but I enjoy every session. Tight lines for the next session. P.S Don't get desperate, will lead to more blanks, just enjoy and you will catch again.
I fished exactly the same spot last Saturday. Unfortunately, the river was full of weed and leaves and the crabs would not leave my baits alone. So I blanked!
Unlucky mate shit to blank, think I havent caught a cod since the end of september and I've been out 3 days a week atleast putting in 6 hour sessions and only catching coalie small rockling or blanking, but last night it paid off and I got my pb cod of 4lbs 12 oz on a squid and cart and mussel bait.
Big up dude, it called fishing not catching 👍 let me tell you I had a similar scenario with 7 blanks on the trot then a session on my local ish beach produce a 10lbs smooth hound, your session will come, it keeps ya keen 🤣
At the moment I have no sound on video hope it's my problem 😅 have saved see if it plays later just got home chesterfield from that area yesterday so interested
You are not allowed to fish in the marina there are signs everywhere lol I have caught bass coddling Whiting plaice flounder and dabs and also sea trout but the tide has to be right and also no rain for 3 or 4 days otherwise there is too much fresh water in the system
Loving your TH-cam sea fishing videos, best I’ve seen genuinely! I live in Moelfre, Anglesey and have a fishing boat and would love to take you both out on the wrecks. I’ve emailed you @gamekeepercatapults if your keen mukka. Cheers Lee

Well done young man 👏
Great video man as always! I only ride a motobike, do you have any advice on a good rod that I could fit in a backpack?
