There is free parking at the Opry Mills Mall adjacent to the Grand Ole Opry and Gaylord Opryland. We’ve camped nearby at the KOA every year for 10 years and never paid to park at the Opry or Opryland.

Fellow Lymie here!! Totally relate to needing the downtime - rainy days and hot humid days are my most challenging days!!! We did a month long trip to Grand Tetons, Yellowstone and Glacier last August with another couple and I constantly felt like I was holding everyone else back. It's so hard to keep up! Just have to remind ourselves we need to rest and recharge when our body's tell us to. Keep on, keeping on!!! Love watching you guys!!
Many of the places I wanted to go recently have raised the prices out of my want to spend the money there range. I know they need to make money and also by keeping the prices up you control the clientele, but it is getting ridicules at many places. I worked security at Opryland in the late 80's and early 90's. Worked on the set of Nashville Now and also at the Opry House - it was so much fun and I met so many (now) superstars. Thanks for the memories!

I enjoyed this video, thanks for sharing. One segment when you showed the view out the window, reminded me of a photo I took this past summer from my PUP window during a Florida rain storm. The rain drops on the screen made the foliage look like a pointalism painting.
Agreed. Especially music row. The trolley driver we had pointed out just the right amount of detail and info. If we had driven down that road ourselves, we’d be like, “meh-just a bunch of houses/buildings with signs out front” - no real meaning to us without the information from the trolley driver.
We loved the Opry. We parked at the mall for free and walked over to the Opry. It's even a shorter walk. We also walked from there to the Gaylord. We were told we could take videos and photos.
Rolling when you fall is essential when you get older (I'm 62). I was helping a friend in his RV install a new refrigerator and when we were done, I was carrying out a 2 wheel cart. My foot got caught on the 2nd step and down I went. Fortunately, I let go of the 2 wheel cart and I did a roll when I hit. The only injury I sustained was my friend only scored it an 8 out 10, so it ended up being a pretty good laugh. Now for a question. When you booked the site at that RV resort, did they put you on that site knowing you were 45 feet long? It seems to me, they should only book that site for rigs that are 35 feet or less.
I’ve lived and work around the area you stayed in my entire life, next time you are here park in the mall over by Dave and Busters, you can walk over to the hotel and Opry from there and don’t have to pay to park. My family does this every year at Christmas(only time we go to Gaylord Opryland hotel). Thanks for visiting and come back soon!
My wife and I stayed in this park last May about four or five spaces from the very tip of the point on the lakeside. We had a great time it was a phenomenal view.

I am treating now. and I pray I can go in our 5th wheel someday soon with my sweet husband and travel like ya,ll.. we bought a beautiful Beacon and I want to travel so bad, but the struggles of being unwell each day sucks !!! prayers for your healing !

Be careful going to Buckie’s. We parked in the back. We didn’t get parked to well, but it was going to be a quick visit. We were in the back lot with very little traffic. When we got back a shaggy looking guy was parked almost against us. He smirked at us. We got in quickly and left. We got to our campground by the grace of God. He had pulled our kinq pin on our hitch. There is no way it was normal wear and tear. We had read not to put a lock so you can unhitch quickly if the is an emergency. Now we put locks and one of us stay with the rig in crowds like Buckie’s.
That kicked some ole memories in my brain!! In 1986 I tent camped in the KOA about a mile down the road and a very bad thunderstorm with lightning came through. But the good side is when I went to the Gaylord motel/hotel to see all the grandfather clocks, the parking was free!
@@ChangingLanes Lighting hit a tree in the campground and a couple from Canada camping in a black Dodge hippy van with red carpet on the floor, walls and ceiling pulled up to my tent and had me to get inside.. When I got home I bought a pop up camper and hauled my motorcycle in back or the truck and then I got a bumper pull and now I have a motorhome.
Stayed at Elm Hill in May. We were your neighboring site on camp side. Great place. That big goofy structure is weird. Great RV resort! Thanks for sharing.

If you all ever come to Nashville again and do anything with the Opry or the hotel. Make sure to park on the backside of the movie theater at Opry Mills mall. It’s a 5-10 min walk, but it’s free to park.
Hey Chad and Tara Glad you found the drip source was the water pump. When you replace the water pump, you might want to consider the Remco Aquajet Variable Speed 3.4 GPM RV Water Pump. When we had our 5th wheel, we replaced the water pump with one of these. It only runs pump motor speed enough to provide water to meet demand, without the short “brrrp brrrp brrrp” cycling on/off water pump sound resonating through the 5th wheel when boondocking. Even though we previously added the 1 liter bladder tank to minimize the pump cycling, the variable speed pump made a world of difference. Able to run faucets on low flow and never hear pump running, unless full speed (flow) was necessary. Now that we are in a new motorhome, I opted for the more simple add on, electronic variable speed box for a standard water pump made by IRVWPC.

Stayed at Elm Hill. Loved it! ❤used Uber to go onto town since our 3500 dually and our friends 3500 were going to be a pain to find parking. Worked out great! We had the same tense issue backing in our 42’Beacon because of vehicles parked opposite our site.

Looked like a beautiful RV park. However, we usually stay at the KOA almost directly across from the Grand Ole Opry. The KOA will shuttle you downtown every hour for $20 round trip. Couldn't figure out where you parked at the Opry but there is plenty of parking directly in front of the building even on event nights. Also, no charge. Safe travels.
I watched the part of the video where you backed into the site and I STILL can't figure out how you backed into that site! LOL But the view was totally worth it. I did that trip in October was not too crazy about Nashville and we stayed at the same park. I stayed down in numbers six I believe at the very end it was an OK part but we had the same issues trying to back in but we did not do it in the rain. We also hit little arrow resort. Absolutely amazing but your rig probably would not fit in there.
Parking in Nashville is a real drawback. I think we spent more on parking the two days we were there a few years ago that we did on anything else. Oh, then there is the traffic! Seeing the Opry at the Ryman, touring the Country Music Hall of Fame and the George Jones Museum made it worth it though as I am a huge fan of older Country Music. I think we might actually try Uber or Lyft next time. Probably cheaper. Safe travels.
Tara, Curious if you have done a strict carnivore diet as an elimination diet to see if you can identify foods that may make you feel bad. Just a thought to maybe help improve even if it’s some help on some scale. From my understanding foods don’t always make you feel bad just after eating them but on a body system affect. . Hello you guys. My wife and I are thinking about going full-time rv like you guys. I have a Indian motorcycle like you to haul as well and I really like your setup. My question is, assuming you have put your rig on the scales, does your bike change the pin hitch weight for the truck? I want a F450 but I know the payload is less than a F350. How much weight difference is the hitch weight with and without the bike? I'm not an engineer but I'm assuming with the bike loaded, the pin hitch would me lighter with the load shift. A lot of people will park at the outlet mall for free, and then walk over to the Gaylord or to the Grand OleOpry, and that way they don’t have to pay those ridiculous parking fees

Hey Chad have a question about your leak. Have you checked the hole right above where you were at stick a finger in there and see if the floor is wet there . Guessing it is the drain for the shower. The caulking almighty be leaking or the drain it self

We stayed at Elm Hill RV in April 2021. We got a raccoon in our basement. The park brought a trap and we caught it. That was a new adventure.
We are headed to key west ready for sun 3 months.
I did that trip in October was not too crazy about Nashville and we stayed at the same park. I stayed down in numbers six I believe at the very end it was an OK part but we had the same issues trying to back in but we did not do it in the rain. We also hit little arrow resort. Absolutely amazing but your rig probably would not fit in there.

Hopefully you got to ride the bike to Leipers Fork. It is an amazing ride especially if you get on the Natchez Trace.
Parking in Nashville is a real drawback. I think we spent more on parking the two days we were there a few years ago that we did on anything else. Oh, then there is the traffic! Seeing the Opry at the Ryman, touring the Country Music Hall of Fame and the George Jones Museum made it worth it though as I am a huge fan of older Country Music. I think we might actually try Uber or Lyft next time. Probably cheaper. Safe travels.
Tara, Curious if you have done a strict carnivore diet as an elimination diet to see if you can identify foods that may make you feel bad. Just a thought to maybe help improve even if it’s some help on some scale. From my understanding foods don’t always make you feel bad just after eating them but on a body system affect. . I’m so glad you are in Nashville…my son and his family live there as he is a professional drummer with The Oak Ridge Boys..I’ve been there numerous times including the Opry and Gaylord …my son also fishes on Percy Priest Lake you are camping on ..we are going to camp at the end of May at Pigeon Forge…I am excited to do that ..but would definitely love to check out the campgrounds around Nashville..love your channel❤

Hello you guys. My wife and I are thinking about going full-time rv like you guys. I have a Indian motorcycle like you to haul as well and I really like your setup. My question is, assuming you have put your rig on the scales, does your bike change the pin hitch weight for the truck? I want a F450 but I know the payload is less than a F350. How much weight difference is the hitch weight with and without the bike? I'm not an engineer but I'm assuming with the bike loaded, the pin hitch would me lighter with the load shift. A lot of people will park at the outlet mall for free, and then walk over to the Gaylord or to the Grand OleOpry, and that way they don’t have to pay those ridiculous parking fees

Hey Chad have a question about your leak. Have you checked the hole right above where you were at stick a finger in there and see if the floor is wet there . Guessing it is the drain for the shower. The caulking almighty be leaking or the drain it self
