That said, it's entirely an individual's call if they make a video. Accents are funny things aren't they - to me, it's just the way I talk - I don't particularly think about having an accent! Well done! The first one is the hardest. Your WIPs look wonderful. I hope you will keep making videos. I love seeing the UK stitchers because they often have different patterns and different tastes than we have in the US. "Fiddly" is the greatest British word, and so useful in cross stitch! :)

Hi Phillip! I loved your first video! So nice to see the people behind the posts! First, I have to say...I LOVED The Woman in White!!! Such an entrancing read. I'm not sure if you are into audio books, however I have read the actual book as well as listened to the audio book (while stitching, driving, etc.) and the audio book is equally enjoyable. I laughed out loud at the the Teresa Wentzler "quick finish" concept....I have the LARGE version of the Peacock Tapestry and am completely and utterly terrified of it. Lol!! Love your country and city mouse piece and your beautiful stocking. I am so glad you decided to post a video, thanks for sharing!! And PS...cross stitching IS cool. I believe the only ones who don't think so are those who haven't tried it. Happy Holidays!

Some of them are well worth a look. I do enjoy audio books, but my mind wanders a bit when I'm driving so they take a while to get through! I enjoyed your video and subscribed. I will never do a HAED because they are just so complex, and I didn't even know they had a Country Mouse/City Mouse. If I were to do one, that would be it. That story enchants me even to this day. I loved it so much when I was little, and was disappointed that my only child didn't see the sweetness in it. Oh, well, it was so nice to see that and I will love watching your progress and your other projects.

G'day Philip, you must continue to do Floss tube videos, I found this very easy to watch and listen to, you did a great job. I'm an expat from London living in Australia - new subbie too. I used to be a one WIP gal until I found Floss tube because, as you said, there are so many wonderful patterns out there that people show and then we want them too ha ha. Love all yours especially the mouse and teapot one although I don't think I would ever be able to do such a large project.We get 'Bargain Hunt' over here and we used to watch it every night but eventually we tired of it; believe Tim has now been replaced? So, continue on, it's great that you were brave enough to do a shout out for all the male stitchers out there and I look forward to seeing more from you. I work in accounts receivables for Public (state) Aid (so not accounting in the normal sense) and I can't tell you how relaxing it is to cross stitch after numbers have made your eyes cross!
Haha I laughed so hard - love it! Forensic accountant here. I watched quite a few episodes of Bargain Hunt while I lived in the UK. It is kind of a guilty pleasure and make me shout at the screen at some of their choices.
Finally got to finish your video, it was great! Your stocking looks so good, I keep flirting with the idea of stitching stockings, but there are 4 of us and it would take me probably a year to do just one. Please make more videos, it is so nice to see more men on Flosstube!

I love the Santa stocking too and I think you are enabling me on that one, even though I have hundreds of projects kitted up and cannot possibly get them done in my lifetime either. Well done! The first one is the hardest. Your WIPs look wonderful. I hope you will keep making videos. I love seeing the UK stitchers because they often have different patterns and different tastes than we have in the US. "Fiddly" is the greatest British word, and so useful in cross stitch! :)

I forgot to mention Wilkie Collins 'Women in White'. I read this about twenty years ago and could not put it down. Classic mystery with endless red herrings to sort through. Loved your first video. I love Teresa Wentzler also, but her designs can be tedious. The results are worth it. The HAED is absolutely stunning. Loved the other two pieces also.

Hi Phillip! I loved your first video! So nice to see the people behind the posts! First, I have to say...I LOVED The Woman in White!!! Such an entrancing read. I'm not sure if you are into audio books, however I have read the actual book as well as listened to the audio book (while stitching, driving, etc.) and the audio book is equally enjoyable. I laughed out loud at the the Teresa Wentzler "quick finish" concept....I have the LARGE version of the Peacock Tapestry and am completely and utterly terrified of it. Lol!! Love your country and city mouse piece and your beautiful stocking. I am so glad you decided to post a video, thanks for sharing!! And PS...cross stitching IS cool. I believe the only ones who don't think so are those who haven't tried it. Happy Holidays!

The Woman in White is amazing isn't it! Have you tried any other Collins novels? Some of them are well worth a look. I do enjoy audio books, but my mind wanders a bit when I'm driving so they take a while to get through!
I'm not sure what possessed me to buy a big peacock when a little peacock is taking so long - I clearly like a challenge.

I enjoyed your video and subscribed. I will never do a HAED because they are just so complex, and I didn't even know they had a Country Mouse/City Mouse. If I were to do one, that would be it. That story enchants me even to this day. I loved it so much when I was little, and was disappointed that my only child didn't see the sweetness in it. Oh, well, it was so nice to see that and I will love watching your progress and your other projects.

G'day Philip, you must continue to do Floss tube videos, I found this very easy to watch and listen to, you did a great job. I'm an expat from London living in Australia - new subbie too. I used to be a one WIP gal until I found Floss tube because, as you said, there are so many wonderful patterns out there that people show and then we want them too ha ha. Love all yours especially the mouse and teapot one although I don't think I would ever be able to do such a large project.We get 'Bargain Hunt' over here and we used to watch it every night but eventually we tired of it; believe Tim has now been replaced? I work in accounts receivables for Public (state) Aid (so not accounting in the normal sense) and I can't tell you how relaxing it is to cross stitch after numbers have made your eyes cross!
Haha I laughed so hard - love it! Forensic accountant here. I watched quite a few episodes of Bargain Hunt while I lived in the UK. It is kind of a guilty pleasure and make me shout at the screen at some of their choices.
Finally got to finish your video, it was great! Your stocking looks so good, I keep flirting with the idea of stitching stockings, but there are 4 of us and it would take me probably a year to do just one. Please make more videos, it is so nice to see more men on Flosstube!
