i have one of the 12.0 hd m18 forge battery i recently bought.. was a little pricey of course.. but well worth the money.. this battery packs a huge punch man and last forever seriously!!
Something MANY people don’t know about Milwaukee batteries: Not all M18 batteries have the ability to be Rapid/Supercharged! If you look on the top side of your M18 batteries, The newer ones will have a raised image of a lightning bolt ⚡️… This ⚡️indicates the batteries compatibility with rapid and super chargers… without that ⚡️, it should be charged on an older charger
@@jasonmeyer1214 .. I didn't know that but I have one.. it came with a 8 amp hour battery and a kit I bought online with the chainsaw and the blower and whatever else in it.. I've only used it on the 8 amp hour battery
Milwaukee is only advertising the forge that can deliver equivalent or greater power output than the 12.0. Which was proven by TTC. The forge is only more efficient and runs cooler, so it doesn't waste much energy as heat is a result of an energy wasted , you can notice that in 6.0 or 12.0 battery.. so running a lower current draw tools like the flood light that doesnt cause much heat on the batteries will result a greater runtime on the 12.0 than the forge 6.0.
@simonbowler1 love all the milwaukee tools as I'm new to the platform, and they are truly a step above all the rest of my tools. I wish I'd of made the switch years ago
Hi Simon great video as always one thing I'm looking at the forge battery's but will they change on the old M18 charger or do I need the new super charger , got the new millwalkee ear bubs they are mega
well that didn't make sense .that forge held more run time then the 12ah . used the big weed trimmer .uses two batteries ,i put in a forge and a 12ah .12ah died and the forge had two bars displayed. this means going to be getting more forge batteries .
In an automotive shop there is no comparison to Milwaukee.. nothing performs like Milwaukee .. The tool the battery the weight The ergonomics.. I also have a wood shop at home.. nothing outperforms Milwaukee
@@Bloodborn420 Milwaukee makes crimpers for electricians tools for Mill rights that cost $8 and $10,000 each and they all work on the same batteries I bought a 12-volt fuel impact and Hammer drill in 2016 and changed the Chuck once in the drill now I can't get the Chuck out the drill still works though with the same batteries I got with it.. I used the impact in a transmission shop for 6 years everyday pulling engines and transmissions rear ends steering gears and everything else.. both batteries I got with them still work.. of course I have all kinds of Milwaukee stuff now I've not had a battery go out yet

I'm more impressed by the tracks saw, quickly slicing mdf like it's deli ham for a sandwich.
I never cared about the milwaukee track saw, always thought "naw, i'm totally gona get a festool", until now. It looks pretty nice actually.
Its fantastic, I love using it
@@simonbowler1 How is the bottom of the track? is it real grippy like the festool track?

Wow, glad you commented.
Thankyou for this info, your a gem!!
Why does milwaukee not defend their failed batteries with this info!?
So much for the batteries talk to the charger then. You would think the charger would just charge an incompatible battery slower.

My oldest M18 battery a xc 3.0 I got from a pawn shop has the lightning ⚡👍

Thank you for the video. I've been wanting to know this for my weed wackers.
How both 18v batteries one with capacity of 6ah and another 12 ah deliver same output? Or forger is using 40v?
Wth are you talking about 40v lmao😅
3 months later, they have released the 8.0 and 12.0 m18 forge batteries.
Yep, a complete range of Forge now for every use. There brilliant
I wish they were at least the same size as the high output HD12.0

They will charge on any m18 charger 👍🏻
Thanks mate looking forward to seeing more of your gazebo builds hopefully you can do some more in depth ones
You Milwaukee track looks better than the silver ones sold in N. America
This guy is like the Gordon Ramsay of tools
Milwaukee straight delivers.

12.0s go bad quick they end up dying to fast or not charging fully but it happened to me twice ithink you might have one that drains fast
@@exxpo940yeah mine are kaput
@@exxpo940 darn you are right .the 12 is the problem .
£200 for a battery is still sickening though. Impressive performance but still a sickening price
Thing is the 12.0 is £170 but the 6.0 charges faster and is much more lite and smaller... I was going to buy another 12.0 but now I'll get 6.0 forge.
You need the new super chsrger too
You’re going to have to extend the packing wall just for batteries! 😂
😂😂😂😂👍🏻
😂😂😂😂👍🏻
Hi Simon bowler do u have dimensions on that vac space is tight in my van and can’t find dimensions anywhere
Not to hand I’m afraid, but it’ll be on the Milwaukee website 👍🏻

Ridgid octane impact is a beast. But I like milwaukee more

Dewalt blows Chinese owned Milwaukee away they don't last
お疲れ様です。
Sweeeeet
Is that a genuine Milwaukee battery? It looks fake like those on eBay.
It’s 100% real
Not American market. Idk if you heard this mates accent
Looks authentic
If you got battery don't waste your money on new ones.😢
Why does that look like a knockoff milwaukee 12.0
I believe Milwaukee uses different labels as well as a different color scheme (especially on pack out boxes) for the European market.
how old are you simon, you look absolute unit like only your head aged nothing else since 20s hahahahahahha
🤣🤣 it’s a secret!!!!
To not finish the test and recharge your battery in the vacuum is preposterous ,what a waste of time!
