Holy hell, THANK YOU FOR THE HUNTING HORN GAMEPLAY. I've been looking for proper video gameplay of it that actually talks about the new stuff like with the echo bubble, the song queue, showing the speed at which it performs and encores while actually showing decent HH gameplay and that how even non-HH players can slam a monster while playing sick doots.
I just love how hh actually has impact here (hot take, rise’s cocoons were amazing to set up and use, even if they arcadified the music system, even if I do enjoy the more immersive system world has)
@ 38:36 Zero Sum Discharge is in the game like normal but you have to HOLD the two buttons to latch-on, otherwise you get an Element Discharge. The reason for this change is because you can combo Element Discharge into a Full Release Slash (while fully amped) like you show at 39:00 or you can choose to do a ZSD instead.
What an amazing presentation. I didn't know the other people yet, but seeing the Arekkz team live was a treat. Their workshop videos made MHW so much easier for me to dive into. The weapons are so complex, that having that introduction made the game literally twice as good. You could tell everyone on that couch really knew their stuff on their weapons and MH in general, the communication wasn't held back by the gameplay skill, and their personalities really resonated with each other. Fantastic entertainment for the limited time slot. Also appreciated the attention to chat, even for the annoyingly spammed questions.

They made SnS into a dream wep for me now. It looks so glorious. I loved it in Rise, but wished we had more viable defensive options. They've basically answered my prayers with the perfect guards and clashes.

Hunting horn looks like it does some seriously GOOD damage now. Like a flat motion value buff across the board. This is just from what I've seen with other big hitting weapons.
Something you missed with hunting horn. When you do the focus attack on wound it is not a cutscene you can play a note with each strum up to 4. meaning you can speed set a song without having to wait for the attack swings. Like say the "offset song" that preps an offset attack and banks it for later use even if you proform something else. Ps. I guess this explains why Rage has posted Literally nothing about what is happening at gamescom.
It's been so amazing to see the big wigs over at Capcom so invested and excited about this game. They are having as much fun as everyone else to play and show off the game. That's is such a breath of fresh air in the game industry now-a-days. Especially when it feels like most game directors and higher-ups don't even play the game they work on.
It might be too much of a time waste if it even does work like that. Since it does take time to swap weapons. Since you have to call seikret switch weapons play songs call seikret again and switch weapons. If anything it would be like a prebuff thing and that’s it. It’s definitely not gonna be used by speed runners.
They also discussed the notion of multiple status effects, like poison + blast. And since armor can't be changed on the fly, if you are going for the secondary weapon with a different element, you'll probably want to stay in the same weapon class to synergize with your armor.
@@kerch6071it all depends on the song lists. If we get the all buff extended song everyone can put a different song list horn as their secondary while you have one dooter on the buff extended horn.
One thing you guys missed with SnS that you might be able to answer: What does the Perfect Rush finisher look like now? Because like in Iceborne they had this stab that latched you onto a monster for a second before ripping the blade out, and in Rise it would just launch you vertically. Does Wilds do something new here?
It has the falling bash finisher from Rise, the epic grab wasn't there when Jonno(or one of the other devs, apparently the labels were wack in some ) did a full PR in the dev livestream
I honestly think the movesets are closer to Sunbreak. Every weapon now has a built-in counter attack, some moves are straight out of Sunbreak like the Hammer dash (Keeping sway from Sunbreak, animation and all), Bow's sneak attack is Aerial Aim and even more. The *feel* is more like World, weapon movesets and closer to Sunbreak
25:50 Hunting Horn user here. This was a thing in World Paradise. You get 3 different songs (as in soundtracks not just buffs) with each HH. The song\sound changes depending on where you start first. All part of the fun in HH!

Personally, I thought the focus finisher was cool. Although not as over the top as sunbreak, the element discharge into the spin with delayed damage looked cool.
Great group, I thought we might get a 4 player hunt for a minute, but alas no such luck. I still loved the stream, you all had some great energy together.

In World we have regular Echo Wave and then the Dragon verison. Im thinking we might get Elemental Echo waves this time around although this is just wishful thinking.
Because you can now have two weapons hunting horn will be meta. You can buff yourself with the hunting horn and then switch to your main weapon for the battle, switching back to the horn to reapply the buffs when needed
I hope they change it so self improvement only works if you’re holding a hunting horn because that will be OP if you use SI and then switch to another weapon

Apparently you can do note presses during the Focus Attack. You get four or five inputs, so you can que up a few songs while doing the attack.

i love that the discharge explosions lit the grass on fire then charred the ground after, such a minor detail that i feel could have gone overlooked.
