Hi Brock, im new, I saw you on Doss farms, so i thought i would check out your channel. I didnt think i would like what you do, but guess what... I do like it. The log splitter is awesome. Congratulations on the weight loss!!!. Thanks for sharing
I'm almost 2 years into carnivore (93%!!) and it's changed my lifeand 2 other tradesmen I work with. It's been the most beneficial "awakening" because at 60 years old, I'm back to my weight at 25, no more gut issues, arthritis/joint pain etc etc etc. My carpenter was 270lbs, now 220. My employee was 235, now 180. Thanks for sharing your journey because support in the carnivore community is critical. It's not easy to resist temptation (like alcohol or sugar), especially when it's accepted and endorsed by the "experts".
@@RockhillfarmYT Almost every time I cheat, the health issues soon follow. I limit those cheats to holiday and birthday dinners (where I might have a potato or desert). I don't drink beer anymore (especially after hockey with the boys) and socially, I'll only have 1 or 2 gin & tonics (and since 2020, I rarely go out). When I leave this city slicker life and the only thing within 30 minutes are tractors & farm animals, I'll be a 98.7% carnivore!!!
Well foot! Now I gotta get on this diet too. I’m 67, had triple bypass about 5-6 yrs ago, a heart attack and more stints installed about a year and a half ago. And still have blood pressure problems. Taking blood thinners and amlodopine… and 10 other meds daily. I’m 5’8”… but weigh about 195# and should be around 165. Only issue… I just had almost all my top teeth taken out getting ready for dentures. It’s gonna be 8weeks for my mouth to heal before they will begin that process. Damned if I do and damned if I don’t. But at least you’ve given me a direction.
I missed the live, It's good to get an update. I am also on a journey, not a full carnivore but High Protein, Organic, or home-grown food. Also good, you are starting in your 40's. I had a stroke in June of 2020 at 59. Made an amazing recovery but started taking their health more seriously. Today, I manage my blood sugar; I take blood pressure meds, aspirin to thin the blood, Metformin, and a statin. I am working on getting off the statin. Good luck with your continued health.
I started my carnivore diet a few months ago, but I still eat some vegetables. I also stopped all sugary drinks, and after almost a year, I don’t miss it. I never been overweight, but lost a few pounds and feel great. My blood pressure was a mess, but now is under control. My next step was to start with meds for it. My cholesterol and A1C are under control. Changing my eating habits has been great for my health.
Proud of your weight loss and your life at such a young age. 👍. I’m pushing 300 lbs. @ 57 years old. I need to do the same. I work hard but the weight is there and harder to get off the older one gets.
I wish you the best of luck. I would recommend investing some time listening to Dr. Kenberry. Talk about the topic. youtube.com/@KenDBerryMD?si=ixcdfyLBs4h2ndb2
Rotate the splitter 90 degrees, put it at the far edge of the cutting table and it will give you space to put one or two totes behind you so you can stack the splits right in the totes has you split them.
Love you, Brock. You're an inspiration. Keep doing you and great to hear the carnivore diet is working for you. "Why We Get Sick" might be a great book to listen to/read if you are into why modern diets kill us. You're counteracting insulin resistence with the high protein diet.
Hey Brock, I watched the original video that you told us you were doing the carnivore and I’ve been thinking about it for a long time. Realistically, I was a carnivore anyway. But I started and got three months and I’ve lost 20 pounds and feel great. keep up the great work. It’s awesome that you’ve lost as much weight as you have, what is important. Able to enjoy life grandkids and family that’s the real things in life. Keep up the videos. I watch every day. I don’t comment a lot but I do watch. I did enjoy your tractor series. Probably didn’t influence me on buying a new tractor for the type, but I got a new tractor, have a great day. See you tomorrow.
As always love the content Brock. If it was me, I'd move the tote closer to the splitter and stack into it versus letting the splits hit the ground. It might slow down your splitting but if you eliminate the time spent picking up the splits I'll bet it's overall faster (and easier on your body overall)
Hi Brock. Your new mikes are working well. When you are splitting wood, could you park the tractor so the split wood drops into the bucket, then raise the bucket when you are stacking into the totes. That would be easier on your back.
Thank you for the update on your lifestyle change. I wish all 125K of your subscribers would give it a try for 90 days. I was 185# on 2/2/24 now 169# on fatty red meat, eggs, coffee and water and was not trying to loose weight at all only trying to stay away from b1g farma. I went from eating 6 meals a day and still starving to eating 2 meals a day and not hungry at all. Big thanks to you and Dr. Ken Berry
Hey Brock, I was thinking that you could put a wheelbarrow at the end of your splitter table. That way you won’t have to bend over as much to put your wood in the tote.
Thanks for stopping by the channel. Finally getting my equipment organized so I can process some wood. The two Eastonmade machines that I have are fantastic quality. Well done, sir.
Idea/suggestion; Scoop up a buck of rounds to be split and raise them up so you’re not bending all the time. Then you’re workin level. My Dad always taught me to stay close to your work.👍same with the split pieces…have them fall into a bucket.
Congrats on the health update!! Having to pickup all the split pieces of firewood looks like an area to improve, why not let it fall into the bin of the end?
Hi R: I been fallowing you from the beginning. Look 👀 R why you put a table with side rails after the hydraulic Wood Spliter Machine. On the other End of the table the Tote. I watch you a lot of Bend Over pick up wood 🪵 pieces on the Ground. After you Split the Wood 🪵 Yes a Sugestión to Safe time and Safe your Back. Keep the hard work and content coming. Thk R George from LaBelle Fl.
I think that eastonmade ultra was built backwards.... would be nice to have the hitch on the front and push the wood out the back.... put a trailer dolly on there and slowly pull it forward then you have a nice windrow of firewood.
Well, it is nice not having to pick them up, but you have to buy twice as many totes to store the firewood in which is already an expensive thing. It also takes up a lot of space and people don’t want to pick up more totes with smaller quantities in them. I’ve thought about doing the same thing but an easier way to do something that doesn’t produce, the desired result is not necessarily better
@@RockhillfarmYT👍🏻. I think your misunderstanding me. I'm saying stack them. But take the pieces from the table directly to the tote. Basically split couple rounds and stack before they fall to the ground, then repeat. Vs from the ground
My main concern / thought is when you start putting up hay you are going to need a place to put it especially when their is a pop up shower so I would suggest what ever u do either make it so u can drive through or back them( hay wagons ) in to get out of the weather. Especially during hay season , usually in July / August when it's hot and sunny then the sky's open up out of the blue. Great job , Todd oh when u drink water are u able to have lemon in it or just plain water?
That's what I was thinking. You could add spaces for forks under so you could lift it if you want to bend over even less. Also you could add a small rail around it to contain the wood.
I like your setup in the hut. I know it's very rude to ask, but I will however. Would you be willing to give me a ballpark estimate on how much the hut set you back. If not I very much appreciate and understand.

That’s one of the great things about the carnivore diet. You are not missing any nutrients or vitamins. My previous attempt to get control of my health was vegetarianism. I was drinking fresh made vegetable juices every day. As a vegetarian you have to take all kinds of supplements and be very intentional to get all of your nutrition. Particularly if you eat the nose to tail, you will not be deficient in anything. Maybe supplement iodine if you aren’t getting it from your salt and you don’t eat seafood
@@RockhillfarmYT Vitamin C, for example??? How about fiber? There may be other things you aren't necessarily "missing," but your body needs some things to be able to properly process/absorb things you eat. I'm not a nutrition expert (although my wife is), but just saying what little I have been told or read. The carnivore diet does (obviously) help you lose weight, and sounds like it's helping your BP and sugar levels (although I would argue you can do that in other ways as well), but just seems that something is going to give in the long run. Not all carbs are bad, and your body needs carbs.... But, wishing you the best!
@LittleCabin I have listened to 1000 hours of medical doctors talking about the carnivore diet. You do not need fiber at all. The only thing it does is help you process the junk carbohydrates. If you’re not eating them, then you have no use for fiber. Carnivore diet cures a ton of different medical conditions. Obviously diabetes and heart disease, but also auto-immune disorders and mental health issues, and skin conditions, arthritis. There is a practicing heart surgeon who wrote a book called “stay off my operating table”. And that he talks about how the carnivore diet can cure heart disease. If you have an interest in the topic there are heart surgeons and neurologist, and every type of health care practitioner on TH-cam teaching about it. This is my favorite.
