you probably dont give a shit but does someone know of a way to log back into an instagram account?? I was stupid forgot my login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
Too hilarious for words!! What a riot!!!! The ducks, the damn ducks!!! Your imitation had me slapping my knee and laughing hard....love this story. Only you, John....only you! Have to watch again!!!!
John, I bow to you, my friend. I am not smart or clever enough to have ever thought of something that hilarious!! I don't think I'll ever stop watching this video! LOL....
This is one of the greatest stories ever. Ha ha ha ha. Great stuff John. Ha ha ha, you told this story so well I couldn't picture it all happening in my mind. Hope your having a great weekend Regards Mark
That was hilarious. I work in Security now at a resort deep in the mountains of the Potomac Highlands and we've ended up with just about everything in our guard station from hummingbirds to one time a Bear. The Bear involved a Pirates game on the TV, open door, and freshly made popcorn. No ducks though, Knock wood.
Great story John. Reminds me of some of the trouble my friends and I cooked up back in the day. Watching your videos is always a nice way to end the day. Mike
Not only did this vide make me chuckle like a hyiena i had the same reaction when you mentioned one of the workers left the keys to the kitchen for you. I was watching this after getting off of work at 3am and nearly woke up the house with my laughter. Keep up with the videos and happy piping!
Hilarious! A balmy 7 degrees in Minnesota today. Finished cleaning up after our first real snow. 4 to 6 inches of snow depending who you ask. 7 degrees and just enjoyed a pipe of Lane Limited #7. Quite fitting I suppose. Branching out from my Half and Half. Thanks again for the seasonal yarn and stay on the warm side of the door if you can. Skol!
Oh my, those low temps are marching my way and I'm dreading it! Anything below 25 becomes uncomfortable for me and aggravates several ribs which I broke in the past. Oh well, smoke on and keep warm!
What a great place to work! Despite my little prank, they allowed me to work there through college when I was off school for the summer. I probably have a few more stories from that place.
That was quite a hilarious tell of night shift shenanigans with spot on sound effects. Sweet smokes amigo and thank you for sharing such a great story!
I too graduated from high school in 73. I used to work as a box boy at a twenty four hour supermarket in Hollywood. One stormy wet creepy night, around 3 in the morning, I saw the actor David Carodine walk into the store with nothing but a worn-out shirt and stained baggy pants and barefoot. He had long stringy hair and a unkept beard. Just shuffling in totally soaked. He didn't buy a thing but walked around the aisles and then left the store. I saw many other things back in those days that involved Hollywood celebrities. I too, was smoking a pipe then in those days. Just loved your story.
You should start a playlist on your channel of stories. You are a good storyteller and you have good stories to tell if you have the time you should really think about doing it
John, kinda late getting to this one and man, am I glad I kept it in the lineup to watch. May well be your best story yet. Thanks for sharing this one, and for all you bring to the YTPC.Happy Holidays to you and yours and may all the joy of the season be upon you!Take care,Stephen
I am still laughing, It started with it feeling like a basket ball with a rubber hose.. I knew it was going to be good after that point, LOL.. Matches!
John.... I'm not sure what to say except... That is hilarious... And that is what you call....... The night shift Haaaaaaaa!!...... MATCHESSSSSS 860!!!!!!!!!!!!!...THAT WAS AWSOME! 😆😆😆😆😆😆
Thank you Paul and Happy Holidays. My Plucake from last Christmas really tastes terrific so if you wanna save some for next year, you'll be in for a treat!
That... was... GREAT!! Absolutely hilarious! Loved every minute of it! What a story. Too bad the harmless humor level has disappeared these days. Do that in a nursing home today and 3 people would be looking for a new job!
For sure! The codes have become so strict in long term care facilities which is the main reason I got out back in the mid 1980's...the thrill is gone LOL.
Hahaha, god John that's brilliant, laughing away here to myself like a maniac. I will say it again, you should write a book of your tales. Just in case I don't get the chance I want to wish you and yours a Merry Christmas.. regards Ian..
I will agree that is hilarious. I would however suggest a title change from "The Winter of 73" to "Drink, Dames and a Duck or Bud, Broads and a Bird. Sure glad I wasn't drinking coffee I would have spit all over my computer. Stay warm.
Matches860 I just watched this a second time ... still funnier than the first. I can just picture you slightly shitfaced holding a duck ... too funny :)
All right John, this was pretty funny a story, btw, did you ever had trubles to get accustomed to night shifts and are you still workin at nights at your current age, Hope to see you soon again, the weather here is now pretty much same as yours out there, watch out for not to get cold,Greets, Paul
Hi Paul! I normally worked the day shift most of my career, but found myself working overnight for a time in 1986. That's pretty tough to get used to and it isn't for me...I'm a morning person and enjoy getting up at five and getting out of work before 3pm.
So glad we have these to watch just wish there was more!!!!!
I was only 10 in 1973 but I love these old stories. Thanks
Thanks for watching Busky James...this may be the last outdoor video for a while!
Going to miss these stories....😔
On to another great story from John.
you probably dont give a shit but does someone know of a way to log back into an instagram account??
I was stupid forgot my login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
That’s a lot more beers than six, Matches😂😂😂
One of your best! Highly enjoyable.
Many thanks Pat! Hope all is well!
Too hilarious for words!! What a riot!!!! The ducks, the damn ducks!!! Your imitation had me slapping my knee and laughing hard....love this story. Only you, John....only you! Have to watch again!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! This seems to be the kind of prank only you & I could pull off LOL
John, I bow to you, my friend. I am not smart or clever enough to have ever thought of something that hilarious!! I don't think I'll ever stop watching this video! LOL....
A little alcohol works magic!
ain't that the truth? LOL....
Still on my binge watching marathon of these videos. Good stuff! Please keep up the great work...
Thanks for your support, Michael! There's more stuff coming!
That is a fantastic story! I love your duck impersonation!
A Day in a Duck's Life. Outstanding! Thank you.
LOL, he certainly had a story to tell his feathered friends when he returned!
Great story! You could never get away with that today.
Yeah, it's not as fun as it used to be!
What a great story, made us laugh a lot, could picture it all, that damn duck haha. 🦆
Thanks to both of you! Those ducks had it made there!
Great story, John. That was a lot of fun. Thanks. Ed
Thanks for watching Ed! It's amazing how a seemingly unpleasant situation can turn into such a comedy.
This is one of the greatest stories ever. Ha ha ha ha.
Great stuff John. Ha ha ha, you told this story so well I couldn't picture it all happening in my mind.
Hope your having a great weekend
Regards
Mark
I'm afraid this was the real "unvarnished" MATCHES860 back in the day...work hard, play hard, be foolish! Thanks for watching Mark!
That was a ducky story Matches. Loved it. More...More !
It was a great five years working at that place!
LOL, you have to be half in the bag for ducks, they are hilarious!
Excellent story as always. Happy smokes, john. May your inner child revel in the memories of your Budweiser fueled shenanigans.
Oh my, the Budweiser & I had many adventures through the years...I'm lucky to have lived through them.
LOL, hilarious! Loved it!
Many thanks & congrats on winning the Penzance!
Classic! Great story!
Hey John: As the duck said to the bartender when he drank his fifth beer at the local tavern, "put that on my bill". Hilarious!!! Regards, Doug.
LOL, Thank you Doug!
Hey John, great story...you always have the best. Ducks, beer, elevators...what could go wrong?
Take care,
Corey
Yeah, you can't lose with that combination!
...STILL laughing here...thanks for brightening up the day with such a GREAT story!! :)
Glad you liked it Timothy! Thanks for joining me.
Still laughing :-))) What a great story. Thanks a lot, John. All the best. Björn
Hi Bjorn! You know, just a year earlier (1972) I was attacked by a German Goose while visiting Dusseldorf so I still had memories of that I'm sure!
1972 was a hell of a good year, that's for sure :-)
Thanks again, my friend
That's a great story hilarious 😂
I put off telling it cause it seemed too complicated to tell it without a bit of background, glad I was able to do it.
Thank you John, that story made my night!
Those were the days Mike!
Great story John. Reminds me of some of the trouble my friends and I cooked up back in the day. Watching your videos is always a nice way to end the day. Mike
I was usually a pretty quiet guy Michael, but anytime beer entered the picture, there was usually a story to follow.
Not only did this vide make me chuckle like a hyiena i had the same reaction when you mentioned one of the workers left the keys to the kitchen for you. I was watching this after getting off of work at 3am and nearly woke up the house with my laughter. Keep up with the videos and happy piping!
That was a fantastic place to work and I'm bound to have a story or two more in the future.
This one as fantastic!! Really enjoyed the description of the ducks!!
We had a lot of fun with those ducks over the years I worked there.
Thank you, Matches! This video is exactly why we watch you. Please, keep it up!!!
So thankful to be able to pass them along! Thank you!
Hilarious! A balmy 7 degrees in Minnesota today. Finished cleaning up after our first real snow. 4 to 6 inches of snow depending who you ask. 7 degrees and just enjoyed a pipe of Lane Limited #7. Good, funny story John. I've worked at a Nursing home for a number of years, plus transported residents. Have a good one, and Merry Christmas.
Great place to work if you can find the humor in it all. Merry Christmas Grant!
GREAT STORY!!!! I loved it. Very comical
What a great place to work! Despite my little prank, they allowed me to work there through college when I was off school for the summer. I probably have a few more stories from that place.
Great story John. "I'll have to admit it did cross my mind"... Hey, no need to mention it, we all remember what it was like being 18! ;)
He, he...yep, the hormones always shine through!
that is one ducking good story - thanx for sharing - I'm still chuckling
jim
Thanks for watching Jim, a fun story for sure!
That was quite a hilarious tell of night shift shenanigans with spot on sound effects. Sweet smokes amigo and thank you for sharing such a great story!
Shenanigans for sure! Many thanks for listening to it!

Thanks Buddy! Glad you stopped in!
Ha! another great tale from your misspent youth. Well done!
As always, it's the unplanned that ends up becoming a blockbuster event!
It's rare in everyday conversation to hear, "I reached down and grabbed my duck"...
Nice bulldog, btw. Phil does some pretty good work, huh?
LOL, very true! Phil's pipes are really special pieces for sure!
Wonderful video
Great story as usual. And that is a really nice pipe.
Great story! I'm still atoning to this day for some of the stuff I did back then, haha!
You should start a playlist on your channel of stories. You are a good storyteller and you have good stories to tell if you have the time you should really think about doing it
If things get slow this winter, I'll start a "My Favorite Stories" playlist. Thanks for the idea.
Great story :). Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
John, kinda late getting to this one and man, am I glad I kept it in the lineup to watch. May well be your best story yet. Thanks for sharing this one, and for all you bring to the YTPC.Happy Holidays to you and yours and may all the joy of the season be upon you!Take care,Stephen

Great story John, enjoyed every bit of it. Stay warm my friend.
Thanks for watching N.P., it's always nice to know there's an audience behind the lens!
I am still laughing, It started with it feeling like a basket ball with a rubber hose.. I knew it was going to be good after that point, LOL.. Matches!
Those fat things LOL, they were really fun to look after, but they do have a nasty side which comes out with some excessive quacking.
John.... I'm not sure what to say except... That is hilarious... And that is what you call....... The night shift Haaaaaaaa!!...... MATCHESSSSSS 860!!!!!!!!!!!!!...THAT WAS AWSOME! 😆😆😆😆😆😆
Night shift! I wish I had thought of that title! It sure was fun times after hours!
Haa! Great story John thanks for sharing see you this weekend
You'd better wear a few layers...gonna be wicked cold!
That is what I'm hearing... Maybe even snow... Thinking about going out Sunday instead.... Typical New England winter..... 😲
Have a great Christmas John, looking forward to your 2017 offerings. Ps...finally found some Plum Cake.
Thank you Paul and Happy Holidays. My Plucake from last Christmas really tastes terrific so if you wanna save some for next year, you'll be in for a treat!

Thank you C.D.!

Oh what memories we have of our youth. This one is a good one my friend and I thank you for sharing it with us. I did enjoy it.
That... was...
Holy cow! Great story!
No cow, just ducks!
you know the story is going to be good when every few sentences ends with..pounded down a few more beers. lol.
Yeah, the story of my life back in those days!
Great story... a duck in an elevator...Marx Brothers!! Big and Burly... man that stuff tastes great but it kicked my butt!!!
Yeah, it's really nice if I get bored with Bookshop because the little bit of latakia gives it a zing.
Hahaha, god John that's brilliant, laughing away here to myself like a maniac. I will say it again, you should write a book of your tales. Just in case I don't get the chance I want to wish you and yours a Merry Christmas.. regards Ian..
Merry Christmas Ian! Videos beat a book any day!
LMAO, great story John, how did the duck get on lol
Who says drinking is bad? LOL
Great story bro
BOSS: John, I just did an inspection of the facility. Could you explain the feathers and duck crap in the elevator???
LOL OH that was funny!
LOL, the empty beer cans too!
And the title of the YTPC's Biggest Badboy goes to...Matches 860! Great story, sir.
LOL, I owe a great deal of thanks to the duck...who knows where I might have turned for a thrill that night!
Haha great story!
Thanks Drew! My warmest wishes to you Bro!
I will agree that is hilarious. I would however suggest a title change from
"The Winter of 73" to "Drink, Dames and a Duck or Bud, Broads and a Bird. Sure glad I wasn't drinking coffee I would have spit all over my computer. Stay warm.
LOL, Great suggestions!
Hey Matches , It's funny how alcohol make dumb stuff seem like a good idea Haha , I've done my fair share of that sipping a Bud or two , Thanks , Mike
Oh man, I should never have lived past the age of 25 with some of the antics I pulled.
Retire from you're job if you want. But Please don't retire from TH-cam, in today's world, you are a friendly voice and face, that is Much needed.
What more can we say....!
Quack,quack!
Excellent story lol...
Thanks my friend!
No, thank you. Your stories remind me of my mom and her family. I enjoy listening.
Winter of '73 has a better ring than Summer of '69 ...
Oh boy, 68,69, & 70 were "my years"!
Matches860 I just watched this a second time ... still funnier than the first. I can just picture you slightly shitfaced holding a duck ... too funny :)
There's something wonderfully poetic about that...shitfaced and holding a duck!
So good vid loved it
Glad you liked it Nick!
Its..... its...... Wednesday!?!?!? I was born in the winter of 73, so my memory is a bit fuzzy. :-) Good story though!
Good times, good times! Couldn't get away with it today though!
that's my kind of story. teenage hijinks!
Those were the days Steve!
that's a good one John did you leave anything out??
Well, I did date one of those nurses aides later on for about a year or so.
Matches860 I knew you'd left something out
LOL, I leave something out of every story!
You can't make up stuff like this lol. Good times John.
Nope! I have to say I was initially bummed by having to stay overnight, but things just kept getting better & better!
haha great video
Thank you B.P.!
All right John, this was pretty funny a story, btw, did you ever had trubles to get accustomed to night shifts and are you still workin at nights at your current age, Hope to see you soon again, the weather here is now pretty much same as yours out there, watch out for not to get cold,Greets, Paul

Ok,so you must be going to bed pretty early by the evenings, since waking up at dawn
Yep, I'm in the bed at 8:30!
I definitively ought to get accustomed to this like regime too,,the sooner the better,
