Custom Axial Wraith 1.9 with Capra portal axles!! Overview and crawl on the indoor course!!!

Today we are talking about my Axial Wraith 1.9, and the axles that are under it. I decided to put Capra portal axles under this RC crawler and i couldn't be happier. The truck works better than ever and has awesome gear reduction. The portals also provide lots of ground clearance. What makes this swap even easier is that it nearly bolts right in! It almost couldnt be easier. This truck is running on BFG Krawler TA tires from Proline Racing and i chose to mount those on a nice heavy set of GMade bead locks. On all 4 corners you will find TRX4 shocks with brass cups. The truck is powered by the awesome Hobbywing AXE 2700kv 550 system, and its killer. Not only the level of control and power, but the level and ease of adjustment is pretty insane. I have a few goodies from my buddies over at Pushrod3d so be sure to check them out if you are in the market for some scale goods! For steering I have been running a Reefs RC Triple 4 servo and horn as well as their front frame brace. Last and certainly not least are the beautiful products from BGR Fabrications. This truck is running BGR front and rear shock towers, fastback/roof cage panel, sliders and the front bumper! These products have no equal out there on the market in my opinion.

Saw this video and had to try it myself. Have to say what a great rig need to test it myself and get it tuned to my driving style but like it a lot. My wraith trans I need to rebuild out of the box it has a horrible clicking. Great rig and thanks for the build and idea🤘

Just got a 444 reefs for my trx4 I love it. Run it on 6 volts without a bec and it’s still a powerhouse servo.

Dig this one too my dude!! Feel like we got similar taste in our RCs. Almost bought a Capra, but really dug the way the 1.9 looked. But, hated everything that came RTR. So, found a chassis and trans on ok eBay. Using SSD portal full rear axle and SSD portal knuckles for the front. Will probably get a metal front axle to mount the servo to it. Panhard it's the horn with anything other than the RTR servo, apparently. Going to run a HH CM 550 12t w/HW 1080 and savox 1230 with some club 5 husky links. Using TRX shocks too.

Hi bud nice video I have a new 1.9 Wraith and when I disassembled it to do all my BGR upgrades and others I lost one of the hood hinges I saw in your video you wanted to get a new body i was wondering if you did and if so do you have any extra hood hinges cause I researched it and in order to get the hinges you have to buy a new body which I'm trying not to do unless I have to let me know if you can help me out thank you

Does your servo rub the sides of your inter frame when it flexes I have Capra axles under my 1.9 wraith I took out the receiver box so my axle will compress more but now it goes up so far that whem it comes out flexing it hits the frame
I can't remember exactly how I resolved that issue, but mine didn't hit. I no longer have that truck though, so I am not much help
What is the weight of this rig with battery rtr?? I’m working on a wanna B comp scx10ii and am trying to compare with some other really well equipped rigs like yours. Awesome build 👍
I will have to check that. But I would be very surprised if it was more than 8lbs loaded. I will get you an accurate measure soon
Can u use the stock servo on the axel? I’ve changed my wife wraith over to my old Capra axels.. and I ran the steering link up to the stock servo location.. but I did t have the servo mount.. for my new axels on the Capra.. so if I can just use the mount and stock servo it would save me some money at the moment.
I don't see why you couldn't use the stock servo. It would definitely work as long as it lives. Thanks for watching

This is the rig that axial should have built! The wraith 1.9 is far better looking than the Capra, but this is just my personal opinion
