Applying noise to the strands is such a genius way to break up the hair and add variations within seconds!! Thank you for sharing the free brush and making this tutorial!
Hey, just wanted to say: Thank you so much for making the brush and alpha texture available for free. This is a really awesome choice, and I want you to know that I appreciate it.
I'm Korean. She doesn't speak English well, so she's using a translator. thank you so much for the video I am currently studying 3D and this is a really good video. I look forward to your wonderful work in the future.
great tip! I was sculpting each tiny hair by hand.. this will save me tons of suffering, that I can later on use it for giving the natural look to the strands. thanks!
The reason why the brush doesn't work properly without uv : You have to draw a brush on the unwraped mesh to maintain the uv of the brush. If you apply a brush to NOT UV mesh (Dynameshed mesh or anything), that hair Brush's UV disappears. so you going to ZRemesher -> Roughly Unwrap -> Stroke brush on unwraped mesh. Thank you so much for sharing these good tips. ^0^/
I'm confused, how to add UVs a alpha inside a custom IMM brush file? @_@ im really curious... If i wanted to make my own hair brush for example, I'm clueless how i would be able to make it, and have same results like Tioxic brush.
@@tokimatsu @Ecotech I was also having trouble with no UVs, but I solved the problem. I first set the UVs on the base model, inserted them into IMM, and the UVs were created.
Thank you, this helped a lot! For those still having trouble, you can insert a sphere, block out the hair shape, create a UV map>UVs, then apply Tioxic's brushes on that separate mesh instead of the head. That way your hair brush's UV will stay and you can apply the noise accordingly.
Wow just read this comment after spending a couple hours putting down strands only to find the noise wasn't working. Good practice I guess lol. Thanks for the heads up!
Muchas Gracias por esto , justo estaba buscando como hacer un buen pelo para impresión 3d y me diste un respiro enorme muchas gracias de verdad , éxito
It doesn't work for me, I don't know if it will be my version of zbrush. When loading the brush only one appears, it is not divided into 3 like an IMM curve :( I wish I could make it work thank you very much for your generous contribution
Quick fix for people having troubles with surface because of uvs : Block out with the brush, GoZ or export to blender, mark your seams on every strands, Unwrap your uvs in blender then finally go back to Zbrush with the unwraped mesh and try. Worked for me I hope it will help some of you guys.
Thanks for sharing, there is also the other method of using same as u did with large clumps and them adding several hairs on the edge loops of the clump using a insert curve mesh. Having small hairs resting on a large surface will reinforce it for 3d printing, i don't think hair like this works for molding and casting tough.
Hello Wandah ! Thank you so much for the hair brush you used in this work! I watched your stream on the Pixologic and the Raiden breakdown video taught me so many things! so thank you! I have one question about matcap you use. In the Raiden breakdown video, you were using a " shader" matcap which is also located at the top of your UI in the video. Do you remember what is the name of the matcap and where you got that from?? that matcap looks really nice and I want to use it too. thank you in advance! and love your work so much!
How to do you avoid the vertical segment lines that noise maker puts on the mesh making the hair strands look like they are in segments rather than a continuous flow?
i watched the clip and did it on the basic round ball but when using UV Master. it gives very long UV time and the result is not very nice if i don’t UV from the beginning then when using Sunface, ALpha will not follow the curl of the hair brush thank you
Hi, I've been struggling with trying to use your brush. In your sample tool provided (hair on head) it has UVs on the brush being used, but when using the brush on another scene there are no UVs, so adding surface noise is very weird. Do you have a fix for this?
Its help me a lot! Thanks for that, but..when I apply the noise with the hair texture, the texture doesn't follow the direction of the mesh... is there anything I can do?
Keren bang ❤️❤️❤️, kapan2 buat tutorial armor hehehe, saya kalau buat armor walau pakai Hpolish brush kok tetap nggak rata ya permukaannya, ada saran kah ?

Adding the hairline detail by noise maker is genius, thanks for sharing your way!
Your sculpture is amazing too!
I believe this is best use of curve brush for creating hair. Just doing the UVs before creating the brush makes the workflow superfast. Awesome !
Never thought i can fell in love over a video, but you literally saved me! 🥺❤
This is the BEST hair tutorial i've ever seen, thank you so much for doing it! :'D
Thank you very much for your generosity and your time in explaining the brush!

I can't find the roughly unwrap option.

For some reason, the texture on the surface is just straight lines and not repeating the curve of the hair. Any suggestion?

I'm a fan now, thank you for the video.
If you get a problem when doing the surface step, just play with the Strenght value, i just had to increase it a little and it fixed it self
