What kind of trails / terrain do you have where you’re at? I hear there’s some great stuff in the Carolinas, Maine, Michigan, etc. we don’t have fall here, unless you’re up in the mountains, a few hours north of us. Even then we don’t get the color like I remember when I was a kid, living in Michigan.
It was a challenge. But another viewer said they’ve been working on the trails in the area and that Bearfoot hadn’t been touched yet. I’m almost curious enough to go do it again after it’s been worked on. Probably not til next year though.
So I saw some vids from another subscriber who lives near that area. The Strawberry Pine trail looked fantastic. Wish we would’ve done that trail instead, but I don’t regret our experience. You might check out “Fat Tires Skinny Legs” to get a peak. We’re definitely going back up there.
I believe I had knee pads on that ride, but I dispensed with the elbow pads cause it was hot that day. I keep bugging Scott to get some pads since he likes to crash a lot. Lol
I just stumbled upon your channel (or TH-cam's algorithms) as an MTB'er in the valley, I've been searching for more trails to explore around the state - this one looks tough - more like a hiking trail? Props for taking it on! I'm now your 309th subscriber. (my name is also Scott btw)
Hey Scott! Welcome to the channel. I was told by another MTB’r that lives in the area, that trail was in pretty poor shape as compared to others in the area. They’re supposed to be cleaning Barefoot up next year sometime.
HOLY cow I CANT BELEVE YOU HIKED UP the switchbacks!!!! especially after bearfoot. i had to hike DOWN them and it was hard. also i was noticing that bearfoot is one of the last ones here to get fxed, its in terrible shape, you GOTTA come back and hit pne strawberry 15, there are severeal new sections which are awesome, and then highline from washington park all the way to pine whch is 21 miles is 90% upgraded adn its a lot of fun. even from geronimo its awesome . hit me up and come back up before the snow hits! check out my pine canyon #1 video, and then my latest 2 are the updates to pine strawberry 15
Thanks for the info. We were going to hit the Pine / Strawberry trail, but we were both so wrecked that we decided to do an easy one in the Star Valley area. (Next video) We definitely want to come back, but don’t know if we’ll be able to before winter sets in. More than likely next spring, but we’ll definitely give you a shout when go back up.
I believe we rode S to N. We started at the Bearfoot trailhead, off the 87, a mile or so SE of Strawberry. We rode to Pine Canyon Trail and then N on Pine Canyon, ending up on the 87 just E of the 260 junction.
Love seeing the scenery and terrain from out west. Completely different than here in the east.

Great video! This trail looks challenging, and it does get dark so early! Great video and thanks for sharing!.

Thanks for posting. Looks like you should consider 27.5+ wheels and tires.
Love that drive up the 87 too lol
Beautiful trail and nice riding also. I have to ask why no knee, elbow pads and full face helmets ? seems necessary there.💯👍

We will also check out your video! And if you get down this way, give us a heads up, we’d be happy to be your guides.
Did you ride it N to S or S to N?
