Axminster carpet is magnificent! Love the carpet bag idea. Jay always sets a reasonable price for his work.😊 Clever drip effect. The wardrobe is lovely…really glad the original teak was exposed and the mirror etching is marvelous.
Wow, all three. Every time I see Daniel's end result, I think "that's his best one"! And every time, he produces something to top the last one!---Does anyone listen to the music? I love what the producers choose!
I actually loved the chairs just as they were- the wood was lovely and I didn’t particularly like the job Jay did on them. I can’t quite understand why he charged so much for his work. As soon as I saw the carpet I just knew Sarah would make luggage from it and I really admired the final result. What a beautiful home she lives in! Daniel’s dressing table was a triumph.
@@mattneillninasmom I still say it’s a lot of money when the skill level to paint two chairs was not particularly difficult or the cost of materials very high. He didn’t even have to prepare them in any way beforehand as he used chalk paint. As for his saying they could go into the Tate Gallery…… c’mon Jay Blades! I think your ego is almost as inflated as your prices !! 😂
Tired of painted chairs. Unless the coating is removed correctly, the paint will be flaking/peeling or being scraped off. If people want Scandinavian type furniture with no wood showing, they should go to Ikea. It won't be worth anything in 5-10 years. And when the young people pass it on to their kids, the styles will have changed, and non-painted furniture will be back in.
Had it ever occurred to you that painted solid wood furniture can be stripped/sanded/ re- varnished as light or dark as trends change? Solid wood that is crushed in the tip will never again have the same value!
Not a fan of Jay's "style." Always has that "stick in the toddler's room or just got a first place of your own; keep long enough until you can get somethng better; then off to the thrift shop" look.
It was clear Sara was going to make a carpet bag, as soon as she swooped on the carpet - glad not to be the buyer, as her cleaning is never impressive - The dresser was fabulous but Jay's work was predictably boring (the guy has no talent for design).
I love your happy positive attitude Sarah. You rock. Love the carpet bag and dressing table

Sarah has some serious skills! I love that bag.
Love them all three♥️thank you for sharing.
Sarah did great on this one. The dresser was good. Never give Jay chairs.
Exactly 💯
I have been a painter for over 20 years and I have never seen anyone paint with a brush like Jay. Why the frantic up and down?
To stop the carpet fraying just run some PVA glue along the outside edge of the piece of carpet. That stops the fraying : )

How is 75 quid "so much" per chair? That's less than 20 pounds per hr. labor & materials @ 2 hrs. per chair!
Jay is always Fair with his prices. Now some of the other Markers are ridiculously High.

He always does the same...boring...
He did only paint them, most of the work usually goes into prepping the wood for oil or paint.
Thanks so much for uploading these episodes for all of us

Irressistable carpet bag, Sarah, bravo!
May does a great job always
Le bureau et le sac très bien réussis mais les chaises pas évident ….
Wish Sarah showed us what she used for the carpet bag lining.
😊 Jay, thinks more of his designs than anyone else on earth, sorry Sara.

$350! Is this the highest profit made on one of the projects?
The chairs are even MORE boring than when they started! I expected better from this artis! :(
