I just purchased the nitro version online and must say I love it! According to the instructions the KE25 motor comes pre-tuned and with the break-in restrictor in place. It also mentions not to mess with the adjustments while breaking in the motor. I ran the truck around my yard on two tanks of fuel with the body removed giving it partial throttle only and allowing it too cool down between each tank for about 10 minutes. After the first two tanks I removed the restrictor per the instructions and at that point I started to occasionally run the throttle up to max and then back down to low rpms. Fourth tank it's fully broke in and it flat out flies! Issues and potential issues: I cannot put the body on in time before it stalls after idling for around 10 seconds. Other than tuning it, I think modifying the body to be attached via Velcro instead of clips may be the ticket for me. Also, take care not to yank the pull starter to full length if possible. If you do accidentally pull it too far out it may get stuck. That happened to me twice, fortunately the pull starter cord sprung back after a few seconds. I may change out the pull starter phillips screws to allen screws to ease future maintenance of the pull starter. Tools you cannot live without when it comes to Nitro RC: A rechargeable clip on glow plug igniter such as the one Team Associated sells. It stays put when you are trying to start it and gives an instant indication of the plug condition. Another item that is a must have is an Infrared Temp gun to read the temperature of the engine. This makes tuning a lot easier. Tips on how to use these items can be found all over the web. Spare glow plugs, they don't last long. Final thoughts: I raced my Mad Force against my stock Traxxas Summit running on 4S and I blew it away! I've noticed there are not too many good videos out there for nitro cars and because of this you cannot see the true potential of these cars. Sure they do require a lot more attention then an electric RC and for this it should not be your first RC car purchase. In my opinion the sounds and rush of the nitro engine makes it a must have in any RC car collection!

Love the mad force series. However IMO it needs some bigger wheels. Loved the Kyosho USA-1. Still have one NIB these days and a hand full of them in good condition.

I just bought it and i love it one thing i would change is to put a roll bar to protect the cooling head of the engine
