Hi! Your video is so helpful. Can you tell me where you stayed at? I'm trying to decide which accomodation to stay at.

Hello! Thanks for sharing this! I am going to do the course next year and I need to choose the acommodation. From what you saw, do you recommend somewhere specific from what they offer?

Hi! Thanks so much for sharing your experience :)
Can I ask if you had classes in the rain? did you stay outside in a covered area or go indoors?

Watching this as a yoga teacher who certified with Yoga Union in Feb 2020! Miss it so much; thankyou for your beautiful videography - helped me to relive those wonderful moments.

Amazing Liv, I am happy to hear that! Then I was a part of the previous group, in January 2020. Thank you for your lovely words as well. Hope you are doing good and that no matter the actual circumstances you can deepen your yoga practice and/or teaching skills. ♥️

Hi Roxane, what a lovely video, thanks for sharing your experience at YU! I'm currently also looking at YTT and YU is on my shortlist in Bali. I guess I'm not so worried about the written test as much as the teaching one! Did you deliver a 30-minute class to the rest of your group? Did you feel ready to do it in week 3? Also, how many people were on your course?

The video is pretty old so idk if you will read this comment, but I was thinking of doing my ytt200 with yogaunionbali except i will probably do it in greece.. would you recommend it as someone who isnt really flexible and not that experienced when it comes to yoga but really enjoyes doing it (even if its irregular but i am so calm and happy afterwards but have difficulties taking my time in the day)? Is the test difficult? And are you allowed to drink coffee? 😅

Hi Catherine, your current level of flexibility does not matter. As you might know, yoga is not about flexibility, but about practicing mindfully within your body's limits. Regarding your experience, the YTT will allow you to learn more about it, understand the philosophy of yoga, as well as mastering how to teach the different asanas and their benefits. However, I would suggest you to be familiar with the different asanas and some of their names. That will make it easier for you. Regarding the test, you will have to study to pass it, but if you do the work there is no reason for you not to pass. If that helps, no one of my group failed it! Finally, yes you can drink coffee. However, if you embark in this amazing experience, I suggest you to try without for at least a few days and detox your body. We usually say that coffee is not a great combination with yoga as it's a stimulant food (or so called a "rajasic food"), which interferes with the inner quietness required in meditation. After, it's up to you to do what you want. One last word, it's gonna be one of the greatest experience of your life, so don't hesitate any longer! I hope that helped😉 Let me know if you have any other questions, I'm always happy to help!

Hello. thanks for sharing your experience :)
My and girlfriend and I we are thinking to move to Bali in october, and she want to change her currently life doing a yoga course to become a teacher. We took a look to all school in Bali (near Ubud and Canggu mainly) and there are a lot of them with a very different prices. Yoga union is one of our "favourite" and of course we are checking out if we find some review about the course. This video surely help us, but my question for you is: do you think that this course would be enough to start a teacher career after you complete the 200hours course? Because our idea is to move to Australia after the course to allow her to teach in a school and we want to be sure that is a good investment by that side (by personal side we just know that is an investment ;) ) Thank you if you'll find the time to answer me. have a nice day :)

I am currently at YogaUnion doing the course with my girlfriend. The training is very in depth and will certainly help you on your beginning. The business side of yoga is not covered a lot in any 200hr YTT, however there is a few pages in our book that does cover some business aspects. By this I mean starting your own business, not just teaching for another. They will give you a lot of feedback for improvement during your teaching exam. YogaUnion has some amazing teachers and will certainly help you build confidence to begin teaching. You will get a really good understanding into putting together and teaching your own 30min yoga class to everyone during the last week. The alignment classes and structure is really great, we have got our investments worth out of this. We spent our first week in Canggu to explore around and surf then Ubud for the course. They are a good 1hr travel between the two, so don't expect to be going back and forward during the course.
