I always wanted to put together a small pigtail on a 7-pin adapter and wire it into a small 110v inverter. Not a lot of capacity, though.

Im thinking of doing that now but haven't got to it yet. Just a small 75 watt or so . Something to charge phone, maby small tv.i think it would be handy. Some of the toyotas have them in the passenger side of the bed

Are those 12v pins hot when the ignition is off? Will that drain your truck battery at all?

It is hot all the time. It hasn't happens to me yet and I keep mine plugged in all the time but it being connected to a battery probably helps.

I want to connect a 7 pin SOCKET to my RV Battey, which is on my trailer tongue, so I can plug the 7 pin plug that is on my electric jack which is on my trailer tongue, into that socket to power the electric jack.
How do I do that ?
    Thanks !

It should wire to a battery the same as it would wire to a vehicle if im understanding the question correctly. When you buy a 7 pin plug it should have a diagram that comes with it that would show which wire would connect to the battery. I would think it would be the same pin I connected the positive lead to in the video

@@MasterSumai on the one I bought the black was hot and the white was negative. The one I made the red was positive and the black was negative. Hard for me to say without seeing your setup

@@CFarmer All I know is coming out of my battery box on my camper, is a RED & BLACK wire.
My 7 pin plug for my electric tongue jack, the nub on it faces up.

@@MasterSumai if your looking at your 7 way female plug with keyway facing up.the pin on the female connector in the top right should be the hot and bottom left should be negative. On the Male connector it should be top left positive and bottom right but I would check with a test light. Hope this helps
