After the Rain Pas de Deux

In Christopher Wheeldon’s "After the Rain Pas de Deux," a couple performs a haunting pas de deux, set to Arvo Pärt’s "Spiegel im Spiegel." The work first premiered in 2005 at New York City Ballet’s annual New Combinations Evening.
The dreamlike male-female duet has been widely praised for its sublime simplicity and intricate partnering, and it is revealed in a fresh light as the Ailey dancers make it their own. This video features the wife-and-husband couple of Linda Celeste Sims and Glenn Allen Sims.

We had the privilege of watching husband and wife Glenn Allen Sims and Linda Celeste Sims perform this piece before a sold-out crowd of 4,600 fans at Atlanta's Fox Theatre last night. So beautiful. If Alvin Ailey visits your area, be sure to see them perform.

Ah, they are so beautiful together. What a beautiful choreography. And I like what they are wearing- she looks great in that leotard and those are flattering pants for a man. What a treat to have a real couple dance for us.
