One of the teachers that changed my life was my 12th grade psychology professor. That year I was going through it on the medical front. I had cancer that we didn’t know about. I wasn’t sleeping and I was constantly in pain. Without meaning to sleep I would fall asleep in her class almost daily. I felt so bad. She always said that if a student was sleeping in her class then there was a reason they weren’t sleeping at home. She would let me sleep and would give me her notes at the end of each class. That simple act of kindness still touches me 7 years later. I will always be grateful for her.

No one has a recording of how disrespectful the kids were being before she got upset. I’m on her side…. I assume those kids had no respect for her as a teacher. That video only shows how she reacted. Most of us would have reacted similarly if we had to try to conduct an orderly class and the high school kids were making a mockery of her teaching. I actually think she handled herself pretty well. If you don’t want to be respectful to your teacher…. You can leave.

@@natalieparisi4427yep, I've done things like this and get kickback because I'm "calling them out". Apparently, it's my job to be their mom and enforce bedtimes for them, organize their homework schedule so that they don't pull all nighters, etc
Making them come in after school and do writing about their behavior (at least for the swearing) works pretty well. That's what happened (even to me a couple times) when I was in middle school.

@@toriamigo Gen Z has so little respect for teachers these days (I happen to be at the very low end of Millenials so I'm almost Gen Z myself) and it is because they are taught they can do what they want. We have states like Massachusetts, Washington and Illinois that will soon start treating 20 year old adults as juveniles (and the Washington state supreme court basically ruled that young adults have to be treated as juveniles) which only reenforces this behavior. I'm glad the teacher stood up to them.
About dealing with appropriate language: your method of reasoning with them will only make them take further advantage of you to misbehave. You need to raise your voice so they are scared of you.
Teenagers still deserve respect. Treating them as equals will lead to far less acting out, because they will feel in control and empowered, instead of torn down and unsafe. Everyone deserves second chances, and approaching a hard situation with understanding and reminders first will lead to far better success. Treat others the way you would want to be treated.
Keep posting doing your thing and don't read comments. If you did that for one month, you'd probably be 3x bigger than you are now. People like you. Don't read negativity. ❤ You

When I was in school even kindergarten and Elementary years it was up to me to make my lunch and take it to school and I didn't get to eat breakfast so I would sleep because I was unable to focus and drain because I had like energy that you get from food there are snacks you can offer your kids you should Google brain food for kids and that should help and there's research that shows napping is a way for the system to reboot and naps aren't an hour and a half long that's honestly way too long but instead a little cat nap like maybe kids can get a nap pass I don't know if they let you do this after covid but having a corner it's got like a bean bag chair and a blanket and they could take like a 10 minute nap before anyone says that everybody will want to do this no most kids can't sit still for 10 minutes but if a kid needs to recharge forcing him to stay awake everything you say to them won't be absorbed and then what's the point they should have been sleeping if the results we're going to be the same I did however really like a lot of the examples that were given in the beginning of this clip that's awesome but in my research and with my own experience I thought I really love her content and I love the channel family so much that hopefully a parent or a teacher or somebody that can make a difference in a child's life today will benefit from what I had to write down🤗❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
