@@coaster_dad It needs to be something that grabs a lot of good attention, because the attention the park has got this year isn't good at all. The decision makers need to get the finger out, it's not been a good year / season.
Just heard they're closing the ride, typical Blackpool. Loved the place as a kid, but now it's like hell in England. Thinking of making a video, after I wipe my tears, waah waah. 😂
Apparently, blackpool wanna take back the title for the biggest drop ride. As Thorpe Park resort will take 1st spot with the ride called Hyperia opening on April 2024.
God i Loved this as a teen in the 80's then taking my Son in the 90's. Really looks dilapidated though. Most of the wood is rotted. Probably closed due to safety issues. BPB used to be an amazing place, but now just seems run down.
It’s a tricky one. I’m worried about them removing a lot of heritage but at the same time this was very unreliable and often closed so I can see why they’d want to use the space. That said it all depends on what they plan to replace it with 🤔
it looks about as fun as driving my car down the M1 in rush hour
😂 similar speed for sure
That brought back some sterling memories for me. Lovely stuff xx
Glad you enjoyed.
My favourite ride in the 70s
It was a good one
R.I.P Another good attraction, YET the Gate entry keeps going up
I am curious to see a) what replaces this b) if the gate price changes next year 🤔

Thanks Coaster Dad, I remember going downhill at a hell of a rate as my cousin struggled to use the brakes !!
Ha ha the “controls” were interesting. The cars had a mind of their own 😂
Was a relaxing ride must of been much better when it was petrol. I will miss it
Interesting that it’s closed all 2024. There were rumours it’s on the chopping block. Maybe this is confirmation 😔
I went on this in the 70's when it was petrol driven .It was really noisy and good fun.You could brake and speed up etc.
Do you know if its exactly the same track it was in Petrol days, I remember going on it but the track looks different.
@jimmylawson6014 not 100% sure. I suspect some bits have been modified as other rides were added but I think it’s mostly the same.
It was faster . It went in decline once they electrified it

Ha ha. It was a weird way to announce it. And who knows what’s next 🤷♂️
Guess this ride is closing
Yeah sadly they confirmed on Twitter it’s being replaced
But hopefully replacing with a more thrilling ride
@LCRRP_Liberty_County_Reborn_RP we can hope. But I’m not going to hold my breath 🙈

@kierenlittle8176 mmmmm that’ll take years of planning and a tonne of cash. Will be interesting to see what they do
CLOSED?
Yeah Blackpool announced its SBNO this year whilst they plan a new attraction
@@coaster_dad oh okay thanks for telling me
Is that as fast as it goes?
It was yeah. It used to be a very casual ride. But it closed permanently earlier this year and they’ve not announced what’s replacing it yet.
Pity, I used to curse not being tall enough to drive them myself, had to wait a few years.
Really curious what they plan to do with the space 🤔

Shocking decision it’s part of history that’s terrible!
