    I use both Active Trader Pro and Tradervue and have learned a lot from watching your videos - thanks for uploading these and explaining the process in a very clear manner.
    Amazing level of detail for your journal. Definitely will be using Tradervue more as a journal to detail my thinking process pre trading and to summarize the type of plays.
    My setup on ATP is more skewed towards options trading, but otherwise I find it a great platform. I wish there were more hotkeys and some areas could be customized more though.

      Thanks imparooo! I agree, we need some improvements in Active Trader Pro. There are some in this community who have passed requests to Fidelity development via email. I hope we can influence them to make some changes.

      Tamim Y,
      I'm glad it was helpful. It is great to have all your trade data and journal in one place. Over time, 1 month, 6 months, a year, you'll collect so much valuable information about your trading. Good Luck!

    Hey I really love those rules you have. Is there anyway you can share them? I have something similar on my trading plan but yours are well defined. I had a couple of bad months starting out and then some exceptional months. But lately have been in a HUGE SLUMP. I feel these rules would definitely help me out. Thanks again.

    Instead of editing time manually for every trade, you can edit the time in the file before uploading. There would be manual work too, but it would save you time for clicking multiple times.

      @ThinkTradeProfit  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Krushnakumar,
      I've gotten used to it, but thank you for trying to improve the process. It forces me to review my trades at the end of the day. There is also a link in the description of the video to a re-useable spreadsheet process that a subscriber came up with that is very good as well.

    You have some great notes. I'm interested in what 'no junk trades in the middle' means? 😁

    • @ThinkTradeProfit
      @ThinkTradeProfit  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Dan,
      Good question. Back then, during COVID, volatility was greater and the "moves" were faster and somewhat larger than today. I found myself entering scalp trades at some middle values (80.20, 80.30, 80.40) rather than the 00's and 50's (80.00, 80.50, ...). The support and resistance levels (or where the market may run stops) would be just above or just below those levels. It was better for me to short trades a little above 00's and 50's, like 80.01, 80.02, ...80.51, 80.52, etc. If the stock was going to turn, it would happen around that level. Unfortunately, because of FOMO, I would enter shorts at 50.30 and it would run all the way to 80.50, and I might close. Then, it would turn back around and head below my previous entry. In recent days, I still think of these levels, but the moves are slower. Thanks for supporting the channel. Good Luck!

    Fidelity Execution Times in Trader View Solution - Thanks a bunch for this video TTP. Not having times is a real pain and the way of manually entering shown in the video is very tedious. I have found a work around. Instead of using the Fidelity Import use the "Generic Import Format". This format requires you have the following fields: Date,Time,Symbol,Quantity,Price,Side - Now the only problem you have is getting the correct info into the spreadsheet. This can be accomplished by opening Trader Pro and exporting Orders (Seems to only show orders for the current day so has to be done daily) and then doing the Activies & Orders History export from @t. You now have 2 spreadsheets with the same orders but one has the times. Now you do some editing to get correct columns and format to line up with the Generic Import Format (details on tradervue for this). Now this also is some work, but with a little excel know how you can create formulas to tear out the data you want and once they are created you just use them day after day. I did this for my trades and everything imported perfectly with times and no need to edit. I have not created the formulas yet but when I do I may post them or make a video. This also allows you to just add to your spreadsheet every day and come back on the weekend, format everything correctly and upload.

    • @Disciple_Mike
      @Disciple_Mike 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These formulas will allow you to create a temporary column to the right and get the values you need. You then need to copy these into Notepad (to remove formatting) and then back into the original column. (Note: When you copy the Times into Notepad it adds " - Just use Search & Replace to remove
      Formulas:
      Make all Price's Positive Numbers: =ABS(E2)
      Trim Date off of Date Time: =LEFT(F3,LEN(F3)-10)
      Turn Action column into Buy / Sell: =IF(OR(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("BOUGHT",C2))),"Buy","Sell")

      @@Disciple_Mike Hi Mike,
      That is fantastic! Thanks for sharing. You should make a video!! I'll add a link in the Description of this and get some traffic to you. I fiigured something like this was possible with the Generic Import. I just succumbed to manual entry (I'm a decent typist). It has forced me to review each and every trade at the end of the day, which is sometimes helpful.

      @@ThinkTradeProfit Thanks TTP! I think I will make a video soon here. I have the means to do it just need some time. It would help clarify for people what exactly is being done. The same process also works for tradersync so it could have value there as well. Happy Trading!

    why cant i just enter manual trades WITHOUT connecting to a broker???

    • @ThinkTradeProfit
      @ThinkTradeProfit  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi VoodooD0g,
      You need a way to send orders to the exchanges or the ECN's where stocks trade. There are also a lot of regulations to (supposedly) keep markets fair and orderly. Shouldn't be a big deal though. There are many $0 commission brokers with a ton of free content and tools. Fidelity, TD Ameritrade, Robinhood, Schwab, E-Trade are a few. I hope that helps. Good Luck!

    • @VoodooD0g
      @VoodooD0g 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ThinkTradeProfit it is just a journal tho, i should not be forced to connect to my broker's when in a journal.
      but iam not between tradersync and edgewonk, both seem amazing and do not force me to do such unnecessary things.

    • @ThinkTradeProfit
      @ThinkTradeProfit  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@VoodooD0g I misunderstood your question. I'm sorry. You do not have to connect to your broker to use tradervue. You can enter trade information manually or download the trade information from your broker and import a file to load trades. You are correct. It is a journal with many very good reports of your trade data.

      Hi Alex,
      Login to your Tradervue account. Then in the upper right, with your name and icon, click and select 'Settings'. Then, on the resulting 'Your Account Settings' page, select 'Plans and Billing'. On the next page, scroll down and adjust your subscriptions. Good Luck!
