While most the guide is masterfully explained, I believe the Friction mechanic in the beggining was not much so. It's hard to intuit by it that: 1. All players need to be hit by both Friction casts; 2. Off Tank, Healers, Ranged DPSs stay inside the Gigastorm | Melee DPSs, Main Tank stay out; 3. OT cleanses his 2 thermal low stacks first; 4. OT, Healers and Rangeds immediately cleanse the stack they acquired by the 1st Friction cast | MT, Melees keep their 1 stack; 5. OT, Healers and Rangeds leave the Gigastorm and stack with MT, Melees; 6. OT Healers and Rangeds get 1 stack from 2nd Friction cast | MT, Melees get 1 more stack from 2nd Friction, standing now with 2 stacks; 7. Each Melee DPS will get into the Gigastorm one at a time to cleanse their 2 stacks, while leaving room for healers to heal their cleansing. I feel like 1 and 4 and 6 especially are not very clear in the explanation. Outside of that, this is an outstanding guide, the best I've found so far.
I just want cool looking weapons man... Edit: This summer it took about a month, but I got my clear and all 15 totems! It’s not as bad as it seems, just give it a shot and if you keep at it, you’ll get your clear in no time!

Just 1 tip regarding TBs in this fight: the snapshot for garuda's TB happens with the cast bar's finish rather than after it. Ifrit's incinerates snapshot after vulcan burst almost immediately. Titan's tb snapshots both hits at the same time as well

Ilya, I have cleared/recleared uwu before, but I'm not very consistent at this part 39:35, I'm playing on NA servers but I'm from other country and the latency makes it hard to do, any advice? I genuinely don't know if I'm dying at Titan rocks or Ifrit plumes to be honest.
I think there's a plugin called Alexander that can be used to trick the server into thinking you're closer than you actually are, resulting in lowered ping, try looking into that

Is that late wake on garuda really a bug? I always thought it was intended to make it easier for players to awake Garuda on a blind run unitentionally (at the time nobody was expecting a fight with a "puzzle")
I have a question. My FC wants me to race change to Lalafell if I want to finish UwU because there's a mechanic that everyone needs to stack really tight and they can't see where they're standing if I'm not a Lala. But I don't really believe it just yet since our prog is still at Ifrit. I don't think this game is designed that way, though. I believe you should be able to finish UwU with whatever race.

Good guide, but I am afraid that one thing is left unexplained. How do you decide WHERE to position yourself, (like which intercardinal to go to) after killing nails? And how do you decide on which cardinal to start, before moving clockwise to dodge the 4 crimson cyclones? I assume that you always place yourself 150 degrees clockwise from the nail you kill first so that you can go to the first dash by moving clockwise if you do the reserve Z kill order, but I'd like a hard confirm, considering I can't find any other good guides, and most kills do not do Reverse Z like you do Ilya. Finally, does the crossfire happen always after the 4rth dash? Ifrit in your footage charged 3rd, but his afterburner happened after 4rth. A closing note: I feel like this guide was made a bit 'rushed' compared to UCOB, feels like you explain some mechanics a bit too much, while important mechanics like these are left up to the intepretetion of the viewer for some reason.
we always went to the first intercardinal clockwise of the last nail we killed. the crossfire happens after the "real" ifrit dashes. so it will change depending on when the real one does his dash, although the movement will mostly stay the same, either you move 2 spaces or 1, depending on where ifrit is in relation with your starting point. i didn't mean for the guide to come over as rushed. i think i spend about the same time on both D:

I love understanding mechanics on a fundamental level, rather than just mirroring what someone does on the internet, and I feel like overall your videos are the best when it comes to that. Great job overall, the rest of the fight seemed to be really well explained. I would like to apologise if my ''rushed'' comment was offensive, as I know that it must feel bad to be told you rushed a guide that is literally 1 hour long and goes in depth for the majority of the mechanics. they're hard. but the 2 stormblood ones are a good place to start if you want to give them a try. the mechanics are still as hard as before, but the dps/heal check is easier because of how levelsyncing affects us. if you are a mechanically solid player then you should be able to pick stuff up pretty quick. but the whole group will also need to learn ofcourse (unless you have people that already have experience). the fights are definitely a step up from savage, as they have a much faster pace. so if you think savage is easy, then this will be a bit harder. if you think savage is hard, then this will be really hard.

The Aetheric boom can be done with the Shadowbringers healing and mitigation with a 1-1-1-1 strategy. It was quite fun and not that bad to heal.
Also, you don't need to tank lb on predation, spreadlow can do it just fine. I did a reclear last week.

Something that's nice now: all tank Invulns are 10 seconds. It makes timing them a bit more forgiving.

From 39:20, when I dodge quickly, sometimes I got hit, but I still can't see any rocks hit me. Felt like ping issue.
That could be the case, I can remember that part being a bit finnicky.

How are the eruptions bated by the ranged dps? Is there a risk to have the healer far frommparty bate them? Or will always be on dps?
a healer can bait them yes, it's based on distance although i think it can't target the player with searing wind

You don't need to be a lala to finish any content in the game. Unless youre trying to get into the dwarf house. But that's not raiding content

how hard are the ultimates really? im really good at learning mechs over a few runs or so. is this like torture content?
