Called in tech support for GA4, they just telling me to install the script on all pages. Keep telling me to ask web developer to push events, etc... The developer with me on the call asking them how to do it - they cannot answer. Despite the fact that we told them the website has WooCommerce and running on WordPress.

Yes i added using your tutorial earlier i was using google site kit but ecommerce events were not getting recorded not ecommerce tag was getting fired - tried many times but with GTM plugin everything is good as you taught .... many thanks for posting your content here- its really valuable resource for me.

hello, great tutorial. was following apart. t 9:17 when you connect to your GA4 tag, i set up my Ga4 tag but all event parameters were empty. there were actually zero. do i need to add all manually 1 by 1?

I have been trying to set up GA e-commerce tracking for about a month of which most of the time I spent curled up in a corner, quietly sobbing to myself. I still don't understand a thing but at least I got to se the "purchase" in my debug mode. let's hope for the best. Thank you again, You are very good at explaining things.

Hey Benjamin, I imported your file on a brand new GTM account, and it did not import the params at 9:27, so I just added them manually. Always a good tutorial.

Hi Benjamin!! is super usefull video THANK YOU! I got a question... i actually want to use google tag manager to keep track of events not only for GA4 but also for facebook pixel, but im kind of confused. When we use the file you provide us and install the merge tag for creating and tracking the events from our woocommerce store in google tag manager, those events are now created in google tag manager right? and if so, when they are created, they link themselves with the events we can select to track in the configuration/events tab in GA4? Or do we need to create again the events in the event tab in GA4? the one where you can mark as a conversion or not.
Do you have a video set in place on what to do to set up google ads ecommerce conversion tracking after this?
Great video, super helpful. Just a quick note to say that the 'configure' menu item in google analytics no longer exists and the debug option is now under the property options in the admin menu.

I implement your technique few weeks back and everything was working fine but since last 24 hours analytics is unable to track purchase event. I debug but don't have any clue what happened. What should be done to resolve it?

I have watched the video several times and checked and rechecked my configuration. The Ecommerce tag will not fire. I'm still running legacy GA3 at the same time. Plus a lookup table for dev, stage, and live. Any insights would be wonderful. I need to run both GA3 & GA4 until the switchover date for comparison.

This video was almost great, however In debug mode it showed add to card and other events as "user engagement" rather than "added to cart," "purchase" etc. for me. Any idea why? I see in the comments that it looks like others are having the same issue also.

Hello, maybe your "purchase" event might have a different name in your data layer. Run your test with Google Tag Assistant and check the data layer at the purchase page and make the changes in the Trigger Events. Hope your problem is fixed.

Hey mate, great video and you are a very good teacher. My slight problem is that I can see the GA4 Ecommerce tag has fired but when I click on the G- container ID that you say to do next there is nothing there. It says no hits were sent by this container. I have a feeling I am missing something really obvious I just dont know what it is.

I added GTM4WC but when I got to the end, and tried to checkout after addig an item to the cart, an ERROR page cam up and i couldn't check out? I would never have been able to do this without your video, but is there a problem because of the error page. Everything else looked exactly like you instructed me to do
I followed the tutorial and I configured everything, the debug view on GA4 works well, but the data in the Monetization tab is not displayed, I still have 0 purchases!

I added GA4 to Woocommerce (after using UA for several years), I followed one of your earlier videos and I adapted it to Woocommerce.... However I have some problems. The debug test worked, it seemed everything was passed through to GA4 however no event value is being displayed on any of the reports in GA4 for purchases. So purchase conversions are being tracked but they're all assigned a value of zero...having run live on my site for several weeks now with 25 purchases, but not dollar amount being reported. (I'm using GTM and the plugin)
