Apple needs a better way of resetting your passcode.
in iOS 17 your last passcode you can use to reset it and still have your data

I have my iTunes/iCloud password down, but since i couldn't type my old phone passcode, I have access to essentially nothing and I'm more than a little pissed and distraught.
like my new phone is bricked because i can't transfer an eSIM from a phone i can't open. And all my saved password data and pictures of my 2 year old... all gone. Swore people had whole tiktok accounts where people would send in their phones to get broken into to recover old data and find out the password and all that, seen many videos, but the dude at the phone doctor claims it's not possible. Idk. I don't even know why im typing all this I just need to find some way to unlock my shit, and bs videos like this ain't helpful

first connect the USB cable and use the volume up button and power button.
If you see a apple logo plz release your power button. as longer until you have to connect to iTunes. If u have no laptop or computer. Go to a phone fixing shop.

I work for Apple and appreciate you showing how ppl can do this on their own VS paying someone or thinking they are out of luck, losing phone all together. So many ppl don’t know hey can do this with any computer. Doesn’t have to be a MAC.
So I can't do this. I tried. I have the 1st ipod 2 others right after that iphones 2 watches. Ipads and about 20 phones all locked up and they were all my kids. Mainly my daughters cause we are hard headed and don't thibk. I learned but the hard way with kids and passwords. Help me and I'll give u one iPad and a watch or ipod.

In India at some stores if you go and ask them to unlock your device as you forget the passcode .. they'll look at you suspeciously like you've stolen or what
iPhone 12 and 13 series activation is handled by servers at Apple. The server tells the device which activation policy it is supposed to have. This policy then tells the device which carrier’s SIM cards should be supported by the device and which ones shouldn’t, *MOE* would always help you out!!
