I think Ozric fans will always love Ozrics, because there's nothing else like it. I totally agree that in recent years they have plowed similar troughs, and for many that's good reason to criticise I suppose? I wish they'd use real drums more on their recordings, the new album is about half & half real drums & programmed drums I think? I miss Merv's mad fills and Rad's amazing time signatures from the earlier albums. But all that said I still love them, and can't NOT buy the albums when they come out, they're like a safety net, or comfort blanket! Been a fan since 86/87, and first saw them live at the Hawkwind 'Acid Daze' all-dayer in Finsbury Park in August 1987, great days! Must catch this Gong/Ozrics tour, there's a Brighton date I'm eyeing up -it's been too long since I last saw them live (2015?)
Just love them. Never get bored of them, their sound has gradually evolved over the years whilst always sounding reassuringly ozricesque. Can't wait to see them with gong.
Love the Ozrics. Some say all their stuff sounds the same, but if they're not going to open their ears and hear the actual notes and details then that's their loss. The whole is album is superb, especially the title track 👍
Good evening Jim, I love the Ozrics but I mainly listen to the older albums because they’re more interesting. The latest ones are just a repetitive exercise. Not that it’s bad but we’ve heard it before. I’m not the only commentator with this conclusion I noticed so I’m being very repetitive as well😇.
I can definitely chill to this. Very nice. I’m gonna try to use ‘sonic template’ in a conversation some day. Ps… I’ve never tried DMT but now I feel as if I needn’t.
Interesting. In the Mix Tape #16 video, which I just finished watching, you made a comment about finding some of the long New Age tracks to be too slow to change, or have movement, I guess. Whereas, that’s what I love about them. For me, this is way too busy. The sounds are fantastic, but it’s too much at once. At least for me.

I remember couple of years ago you replied to my Ozric comment then even listened to the album, how cool!
I usually take Jurrassic Shift and Arborescence on road trips. Nothing eats up the miles the the mighty Tenacles !
Ozric is pure magic✨
Trippy in a good way. The band are entering their "blue period" 😄

I totally felt and mirror your joy with this one!

Sounds good, I like it.

Great job! Looks amazing, pretty trippy, I guess that was the point!
Interesting. Never hears of this band. I enjoyed it! Thank you Jim!
Oh.... there's quite a few Ozrics videos on the channel. Have a hunt, they're all pretty great!
@@JimNewstead will do!

I’d prefer some Hillage ❤
No progression, it's the same old, same old, time and time again. How many times can you buy the same album. Earlier albums were much better. 😩
