I don't try to pass off my fakes as real, I don't really see the point cause I don't want them for the cred but just for the shoe itself. aside from that, to me the real demon here is the resell industry. I don't have that many fakes because most of what I like are GRs, but whenever I do want something limited and I don't hit retail I definitely am not going to contribute to the resell market so reps it is.
I dont understand the hate, people get the reps, to actually wear the product, and not sell. Sure you can be scummy and sell the fakes, but what is the difference between that and someone sell the real pairs for an inflated price too. Either way, you're getting ripped off.
I get that mentality for sure. I personally just like sneakers, most of my collection is GRs or outet sneakers, but I do buy expensive pairs as well because I do want them, and I prefer the real thing. If I hit on a pair at retail (that resells for lots of money) if i really like the sneaker i love that i got em and goes straight to feet. other pairs can be an investment, might resell for $500 but if I sold it would be the same as I paid, so no big deal. Fakes into the resale market trying to pass as real is where i have a problem. and some of these rep people think they are justified in tricking others since the materials are 90% the same (to them), that to me is a huge flaw.

I was able to get the black pair from Nike SNKRS. The union logo on mine is closer to the fake pair than the real pair. About half of the union tag is underneath the plastic wing.
They guys hating on fakes (most of my shoes are only >$100, GR or outlet) have to be younger than 16 or still in high school. As get older, you realize that it’s not that big of a deal, they are just for looks. But reselling them as real pairs is where he problem starts.

I am actually not a big fan of the silhouette (I tend to wear runners and not basketball sneakers), but I LOVE the guava ice colourway. So I copped a pair of the Adidas ZX 8000 in the vapour pink colourway. They have the a similar vibe to these Unions, and IMHO look way better on feet. Oh and I save HUNDREDS ☺️

I have a real pair for retail of the Off Noir from a respected local boutique store and the Union LA logo is half way underneath the side panel so I don't think that's a give away that it's a fake. If you Google images you will see the placement does vary from shoe to shoe

The thickness on the suede cuts is inconsistent among retails and un/la tag is bit pushed back but nothing too crazy. Midsole color still a dead giveaway only if you have the shoe side by side but new reps are fixing that daily. I believe a rep maker has a near 1:1 with the proper qc.... Wear whatever you want with confidence.

I think the UN/LA tags on these are a bit hit or miss even on retail, my guavas from Union have the tags slightly less exposed than on your pair. Everything else you mentioned on the fakes are definitely noticeable though. Funny how the fakes have thicker suede cuts 😂

In China different areas have different factories that specialize in certain things. Like one area produces only buttons, another area is where all the sneaker factories are. So it’s not the same factory doing these it’s a separate one in the same area and they have a lot of machines etc

I live in both US and Vietnam. Can’t speak on all UA. But I can tell you that almost all UA in VN, I get are just over production units from the same factory. Hence the ‘unauthorized authentic’ name. I’ve bought pairs that were unreleased until months later. As far as consistency, I guarantee you not all retail are that consistent either.

It's just amazing to me how fakes/reps have become so acceptable now, as someone who is an older sneakerhead/collector, I've been in to Jordan's since he entered the league. I have always had the mindset that if I don't get an authentic pair of the shoes I want, I just move on to the next. I would then double back and get what I wanted later, since I'm financially in a spot now that I wasn't as a youngster. But fakes were highly frowned upon back then and now people are proud to claim they buy and/or wear fakes. Unbelievable how the times have changed. U missed out another dead giveaway, the tpu holding the top laces is not cut-out in the middle, meanwhile on the real pair there is a triangular cutout just where the union logo is, that is one u can notice from afar.

Guess if they use the "Godkillers" for the sneaker comparison it will be a no brainer - the viewers will be hard pressed justifying to themselves if they should pay x10 times the price to a reseller or just order it for under retail from a reputable U/A store.
