I was looking for the defect the entire time you were talking and I legit didn’t notice it until you pointed it out lol
The last ten or so pairs of Jordans I've purchased have had at least one, while most have had several, ridiculous factory defects. I've been able to switch a few of the pairs for pairs with less defects, but all of them have defects. Jordan brand's quality control has become non-existent!!! $170-$250 plus tax for shoes that are f'ed up is inexcusable!!!

Email union the issue, send them photo's and see what they say cause in my opinion thats really bad for a 4 to be missing a lace eyelet, its not even a regular AJ4, its not even a wide release, its an exclusive.....email union and send photos, thats all i can say

Brooo this shit is completely unnaceptable, i had my first hit ever on SNKR's on the biohacks and was so excited only to have 1 shoe completely covered in flaws. Theres a cut on the toebox, a big ass glue stain on the black part of the shoe that won't come off and it just really pisses me off. I contacted Nike but they won't do shit because their out of stock.

Quality control was crap on these. Mine came with a small hole in the leather. RIP trying to resell these. Reached out to union and there said there’s nothing they could do, all pair were sold.
It’s a B grade. My Jordan 4 White Cement had two different two boxes. They’re beaters now.

I wouldn’t say it’s dope like the upside down swoosh on the 1s but you could possibly find a buyer that collects factory defect sneakers and they’ll pay decent for them. No regular sneaker collector will buy these though. This is something for a “collector collector” someone who would just display them for the story instead of wear them.

I hit on SNKRS app for the Jordan 5 Retro SE Oregon that came out recently.. got it in the mail.. was so disappointed to see that the left shoe toe box looked like someone tried writing Chinese letters with something sharp.. not pen ink..but its like engraved and scuffed.. wish I could include a pic..

Its a failed stock. You bought a good investment. But the company forgot to validate your purchase by releasing that flawed pair to you. Its now worth half the amount. So do what I do with all my failed sneaker investments ....wear em lol 😆

That actually may make them worth more it's not only a limited shoe but it's the only one in the world that happened to. Money when that happens its worth more like if they print it upside down. I would tell nike and try to get another and keep that one. But definitely keep it. What's crazy is someone laced it and didn't know must have been super baked lol.

Not a fan of that colorway but I wouldn't be surprised if someone from Union or JB hit your line since you're one of the better known content creators. Doesn't look that bad without out the missing eye-lits but it's still a defect nonetheless.
With the platform u have they’ll probably replace them right quick but if that pair went to a regular guy like me I’d probably be SOL I’d have to deal with the defect or let Nike know which they’d want the shoe back but give me some BS excuse how they can’t replace it because they only made a limited amount and everything is sold out while they have a full run collecting dust in the warehouse. But if u do say something let us know what the outcome was I really wanna know
I’d get ahold of Union and go from there. Chances are, all their pairs are sold out and I doubt you’d get a replacement. I’d just reach out to them 🤷🏼♂️

I paused it at 3:48 to see what's the defect and saw it right away. I'm just thinking, who laced them up and didn't even notice about the tab missing. Looks like it was a Friday afternoon at 5:00 o'clock time to clock out kind of scenario.
My guava pair came with out extra laces or a hang tag . At first I thought that's just how it came but then I started to see others post with accessories. I hit Union up and they said file a claim with UPS because all their items went thru QC. Total BULL !!! Why would a driver steal laces and a tag but not the $1k shoes ???? And without the tag or laces it's an incomplete package . I'm not tripping but they need to get their stuff together . They charging a premium price we deserve premium service and products

It’s dope but it’s the exact reason I’d rather buy UA then pay resell for a sneaker. With UAs I can see the exact shoe before it ships to me and I know I wouldn’t get a defect like this. This guy has no choice now but to rock the shoe a whole audience who’d have brought it now don’t want it bc it’s “suspicious” and defected but at least he got for retail. Seen UAs with less defects then retail pairs all the time.
I just discovered a defect on my infrared 4s the other day after wearing them since release day lol. I was missing a lace hole that wasn’t punched out behind the plastic eyelets.

That sucks. My pair definitely did not come like that. My only suggestion is call Union and hope you get someone on the phone who is sympathetic or/and can do something about it. At least you got a good video out of it.
Also, a good customizer could easily fix this, and no one would know the difference.
