I am still collecting few cameras from a decades ago. This is the one of them and the price is getting higher. Good camera as the last Canon G series with CCD. Bulit qulaity is superb. Great job.
I also recommend paying attention to the G6, it is also the last and best in its kind in the series - it has retained a high-aperture lens f2.0, a second information display and a surprisingly comfortable grip handle. The following models after it have lost these features. Well, or at least the G5, almost the same, only black =)
@@LucyQQQQ It all depends on the market prices in Russia. I've been watching the price of G12 for a year now and I've seen it go from $100 to $300-$350, it's crazy. And 3-4 years ago you could find them for $40 and nobody really needed them. So the trend is still on the rise.
I don't know if you've ever shot Kodak Portra 400 the film stock, or seen enough samples on the Internet. But that is definitely not the way Portra 400 render colors. It's actually quite neutral because it is a professional film, and if there is a color shift it will lean towards green. Your recipe just makes the colors look like they come from a poorly stored film stock. On top of that, the contens are massively random, no interesting point to catch the eye of the viewers, and some like @2:01 are even crooked without any artistic intention. These are just friendly feedbacks for your future videos. I still appreciate your efforts put into this channel.
Hmm, it's strange, in our country this camera is considered one of the most effective and desirable for street photography. People are ready to fight for G12, pay any amount of money, but there are simply no copies available for purchase in the country, even for $350. It is responsive and predictable. I would even say it is too good and modern, if the task is to limit and discipline yourself with the limitations of technology =) It is interesting to observe the everyday life of your country, everything looks different!
You speech like a native speakers bro. Mantab
Thank you for your kind words

I think people are starting to buy cameras as a form of investment, especially those in high demand
