I just have to say, in response to your intro, just like you said, kits like these ABSOLUTELY get non-crocheters interested in crochet. Several years ago, my mom bought me the Harry Potter amigurumi kit from Barnes & Noble because I totally wanted it based on the adorable figurines. I was not a crocheter, but was certain I could figure it out somehow and make the characters. I was very, very wrong, but I was committed to learning, and simply because of that kit, I am now an avid crocheter, and obsessed with amigurumi. I'm still not very good, and would consider myself pretty novice, but I have made a lot of projects and now I also have a yarn buying hobby to boot. 😁 Update: Love the outfit changes, these are so darling! I think I'd like them better as complete amigurumi vs finger puppets, but they're super sweet. I'm more of a Star Trek than Star Wars, but loved the video. Cheers!
Omg! Your costume changes!!😍😂❤️ love so much! And I totally forgot that I ran out on luke too. Both arms are 1 row short in the hands. So, glad knowing you are as wonderful as I thought you were. This just seals the deal. May the forest be with you! ☺️🥰❤️
And also with you!! Happy 5/4! What a fun, fun, fun video with an excellent review! Thank you! I’m surprised, tbh, that the patterns are by such a big-name artist and that the yarn is Hobbii! I feel like it’s unusual for those things to occur in “kits”. Regardless, WHAT A CHALLENGE. Oof. You did terrific!! I, too, love Boba & your costume changes-CHEF’s KISS. PERFECTION. Lava you! ☺️🫶🏻🧶 - Lisa
Great review. The Darth Vader puppet is my favorite! It is really nice it comes with so many patterns in the book. (Also-- hi from a fellow crochet TH-camr! Glad TH-cam recommended you!)
wow! Great review! Love Darth Vader. Can you review the latest fight like a Girl from woobles? And Yeezhee Starburst crochet kit? I'm very interested in seeing what they end up rendering.
How fun! Grogu is a crochet must for sure!! Thanks so much! This lipstick is the Suavecita Lip Grip liquid lipstick in the color “valor”! suavecito.com/products/lipgrips-matte-liquid-lipstick?variant=560447127567
Hi. My 7 year old Grandson got his parents to buy this kit from Ollie’s close out store. It was $3.99. I’m starting it. The book seems fine. I’m an advanced crocheter. My BIG problem is with the large ball of black yarn. It seems to be not a pull through, nor out-side wound ball. So not being sure, and it is a lot of yards of very fine yarn, black to boot, I started hand winding it into a center pull ball. Well, the thread wound up coming out from the center, and would not pull out. I can’t find another end. I’m dreading I’ll have black Angel hair if I’m not careful. How did you manage same? Any advice? Please ❤
Thank you for mentioning this! I was going to point this out in my video but it slipped my mind. I too had a heck of time with how the yarn is wound. I ended up taking the time to wind each one into a ball (one that I pull from the outside) before I started working with it. If you're having trouble locating the other end, there's not much I can think of to help, except maybe step away from the yarn for a bit. Perhaps take a bit to clear your thoughts and frustrations and then come back to it with new eyes. If all else fails, and you do end up with an unworkable mess, I would recommend just using a different skein of yarn, even if its a DK weight or something. The end product will be larger than in the book, however it should still be functionable as a finger puppet, and you wont have pulled all of your hair out trying to untangle that black mess! 😆 I hope that helps! 🧡🧶
