Just a reminder that you cannot immediately sell your unlisted share once it gets listed since there's a lock in period for about 6 months best way to exit the share is probably to sell it during its pre ipo process since during that time the gray market gets hot and share starts rising before its listing
I have the same question ? How will they match the valuation of unlisted shares vs listed shares ? As far as I know few companies in past have given bonus shares to match the valuation of unlisted shares e.g tata technologies but I am not sure if that is true for all the unlisted shares which are in premium than their IPO listing price.

When any company announces an ipo, its shares circulating in unlisted market are adjusted to the premium it may receive post listing. This is because in case of heavy oversubscription, the allotment is difficult and unlisted shares could be purchased. However you have to continue to hold any unlisted shares purchased prior to listing for the next 6 months from the date of listing as it goes into lock-in

Ms Rachana, In a private limited company, max no of shareholders should be 200. In public limited even though there is a provision for adding more shareholders but it is limited to 200/year. I have a query in Leadoff's platform do they control this by limiting only 200 people can purchase in a year if it's for the public limited unlisted company? I can also see B9 BEVERAGES PRIVATE LIMITED is available in the Leadoff platform which is private limited in this case only 200 is the maximum allowed. I reached out to Leadoff Whatsapp support regarding this, and they are saying this limit is only for physical shares and not applicable if the company dematerialised their shares. According to my understanding, Compliances are common for the company whether it issuing its stocks in physical or demat. Kindly help me with this, so that it will help many commoners like me.
Unlisted share transfers are secondary transactions which happens outside of the companies books. these can be bought from primary shareholders so there is no limit and no involvement or change in the structure of the company.

It's a risk bro. Unlisted share trade almost 3x than actual valuation, its better to book losses before even announcement of ipo. Once announcement done stock will be atleast 50% cheaper in primary market.

CSK is also a subsidiary , India cements is a listed company who owned csk

Ms Rachana, In a private limited company, max no of shareholders should be 200. In public limited even though there is a provision for adding more shareholders but it is limited to 200/year. I have a query in Leadoff's platform do they control this by limiting only 200 people can purchase in a year if it's for the public limited unlisted company? I can also see B9 BEVERAGES PRIVATE LIMITED is available in the Leadoff platform which is private limited in this case only 200 is the maximum allowed.
I reached out to Leadoff Whatsapp support regarding this, and they are saying this limit is only for physical shares and not applicable if the company dematerialised their shares. According to my understanding, Compliances are common for the company whether it issuing its stocks in physical or demat.
Kindly help me with this, so that it will help many commoners like me.
Unlisted share transfers are secondary transactions which happens outside of the companies books. these can be bought from primary shareholders so there is no limit and no involvement or change in the structure of the company.

I think rachana mam missed a very important point i.e if you buy any unlised share if ipo comes then you can not sell your share on listing day ..there is a 6 month lock in period ...you have to remember it personally i invested boat share and I am in loss

No actually.. when you buy UNLISTED shares you should exit and square off profits or losses before the company gets listed into secondary market.
It's a risk bro. Unlisted share trade almost 3x than actual valuation, its better to book losses before even announcement of ipo. Once announcement done stock will be atleast 50% cheaper in primary market.
