I've got the same still, improved a good bit though. I cut the ferrule off the bottom of the football (column) and silver soldered on a 4ft stick of 2" Copper pipe, then soldered on another ferrule. Packed the column with pot scrubbers. Also removed the shitty condenser, put on a good liebig. The football I pack with orange and lemon rinds sometimes, like a gin basket. Works good
@@tommymoss1553 if the opening is the same size as the ferrule on mine, it's 2.5" diameter. I just ordered off Amazon a 2.5 to 2 reducer ferrule and ran everything else at 2 inch

Next time when you distill a run of beer, you should doubble or triple distill the liquor because it makes the product a higher proof and Alcohol Volume. So instead of sipping 40 proof you would get about 80 - 100 proof 45%. Also known as (Doubble or Tripple cross white liquor)
Done this for years ,Improve your proof run the distilled thru again should proof up to 150 before water starts diluting your 2nd distill,it pours out the stem like a weak piss. Instead of that 5.6 ,go to the nearest beer store and get you 6-10 can's of that Camo beer 8.0 . Curious , since you've paid the taxes on the beer you purchased does that mean you are legal distilling? Ive ran Jim Beam and other rums n whisky;s takes those to a new level .
I’m just curious; how strong did the hops flavor come through? I’ve been thinking of trying this myself. Glad you did this, thanks man! I might take a wander down to a local Craft Brewery by me; and see if I can strike a deal on 3 gallons of one of their higher ABV beers/ales. Question: did your still puke because of the CO2 in the beer? Do you think if I do this I should de gas it first; I’ve got a cordless drill with a de gassing whip that I can use.
It is there but i bet if you use a decent ipa it would be awesome. I love IPA's. Might try that myself it would probably be quite expensive though. Do a brewshine with zombiedust that would be great.
Did my first run with beer and trust me when I say it is fucking disgusting, it comes off the still as what is called beer schnapps which smells and tastes like a well crafted mix of Milwaukee’s best and Takka vodka, i wouldn’t waste my time or $$$ lol just drink the beer or do it right and get proper ingredients bc that shit is literally liquid death 💀😂
Did you put that tap on your still , I have the same one I definitely want to put one on mine was wondering what yours looks like , Ps I`ve found if you put the thermometer on the condenser and leave the 2 gate valves on the lower lid you can actually run 2 more pots thru them into the main one plus as the temp. is rising open the top gate till the Methanol has passed you can actually smell it in your hand it`ll give spurts of heat I Ieave mine open for 15 to 20 sec that way you don`t loose so much heads but mine will start at 85 deg. and normally finish at 90 it`ll be about 35 to 40 TR but making a sugar wash I can get easy 3.5 gallons at 40 % vodka, Do you use them yellow Coral balls in the condenser I do plus I dump in a bag of marbles with them SO much better I leave them in some vodka in a mason jar to store them - Subbed you hope you can return the favor .
I'll have you know, sir, that my chain-smoking, gun-toting, Trump-loving fishing buddy from Sopchoppy, Florida, will only consume Ice beer. I tried buying him a mix-n-match six pack from an upscale beer emporium, and he turned his nose up and wouldn't even try the stuff. BTW Milwaukee's Ice Beer is made with corn (syrup).
Dude. When I was 16-17, Milwaukee's best was the beer to buy. It had an 8% alcohol content. They just now came out with another that's 5.8%, which is pointless. Everyone drank Milwaukee's best because it got them drunk quicker than other beers.
No i did not mix them, i removed them, i really aint the best videographer i am getting better, but have lots of other videos explaining the removal of heads.
LOL wow I've never seen a still like that. And actually I drink the BEAST every day lol. 37 years old and I've been drinking it since I switched from Busch. So maybe 10 years of drinking The Beast. I wasn't sure that this was possible. What beer do you like?
Idk if anyone has ever had a beer called golden anniversary now that stuff is truly horrible I don't think they sell it anymore but was just shy of being $7 that's how bad it was 😂😂
I would redistill it. 80 proof is weak liquor. You probably are bringing over a lot of tailings with it. If you get a 6 pack of Milwaukee’s best too keep the flavor and Pour the liquor in the still along with a 6 pack you would get a good quart of 140 proof good quality liquor and a paint worth of tailings.
I had some honey moonshine at a festival a few years back and it was the best shine I have ever had. They had a bunch so must of had 🐝 hives or something. I would highly recommend it.
