My daughter is almost 25, so we aren't in the school years anymore, but I agree with you about being sad that summer is over. I LOVED all the holidays and teacher work days, summer and Christmas breaks. I'm sure with an only child, it wasn't as chaotic as homes with more than one kiddo. One of my favorite quotes is, "The days are long, but the years are short." So true when raising a family. Where does the time go? Thanks for all the organizing ideas, too.

Those plastic cookie jars are great in a craft room. I have several of them. I never thought about using them for all of the ideas you have, love that you showed us these. I love the idea for napkins in the mesh containers. I wish we had a local thrift store other than Goodwill. I have to drive into the city to donate to those local thrift stores which I really enjoy and don’t mind at all. Organizing clothing by color is such a time saver. Thank you for sharing all of these. So many good ideas! We have put paper towels in our bathrooms for years! On a regular paper towel dispenser. It’s cleaner. Already did my declutter for closets and drawers this year. All color coded. It’s hot out. I needed something to keep me busy! My attic needs it. When it cools off. As always I’m still inspired by your video. Hi Lisa. Late watching today. Lots of great ideas in this video. I save my “good”boxes usually from things I buy from Sam’s. The boxes are usually heavy duty card board and have holes for easy carrying. They really work well holding many like things. You must be psychic. I worked all day yesterday going through just 1/4 of my walk-in closet. Have another 3 sections to go. Found things with tags still on clothes that I had never worn. But will be donating to a women’s drug rehab center.

I covered matching boxes with DT Contac paper. The tall, skinny PO boxes are the perfect width for canned goods. I cut them in 1/2 and can stack 2-3 cans for organizing. My napkins and paper plates are stored in clear plastic totes with lids to keep them clean. Coffee filters between my china plates and bowls help to protect them.

One suggestion I wanted to offer is that I noticed your faceplates for your outlets are the white builder grade plastic, at least it appears that way in the room where you are filming this video. It's a subtle thing, but I have to say that when my husband and I swapped out the white plastic faceplates with burnished bronze (they are actually a light dusty gold) it really finished off the wall, including where we have moulding were one tends to want a more elegant look. I haven't done this, but also wonder if in lieu of buying new faceplates, you could spray paint them to create a look of metal??? Anyway, just a suggestion from a fellow obsessed DIYer. Thanks, Lisa.

Lisa, what wonderful ideas!! Love them all!! Here's one for you for extra closet space... I take the hangers with a clip on each end and hang all of our pants from the waistband instead of folding them over a regular hanger. It actually doubles the space because it's not as thick. Also, Temu sells some plastic items (I forgot the name of them) that fit over your hanger enabling you to hang an outfit together. I find these very convenient when getting ready for trips or vacays.

I bought the bigger silverware holder because forks an spoons have 2 sizes and for my serving spoons an forks so they all have there own cubby.

Try poking holes in the box for the ribbon and then push dowel rods through the box and ribbon and then the ribbon won’t roll around and get messed up.

I lay my silverware on its side too. I go one step further and turn the sorter sideways. This keeps the points of the utensils from sliding and damaging the inside of each section.

a better organazation for the silverware drawer would be to place a rubber dish mat from the dollar store in the drawer,and place as many silverware trays as possible sideways,a person is not going to take the time to organize every time your way.I placed three trays in my drawer.

The twins are in the middle of the girls. I have an older daughter and a 9 year old daughter. The 4 kiddos keep me busy!💕
