ps- plants also eat flies, they go after and kill other plants in order to survive... So sure, photosynthesis is their conversion process but it also is tied with active killing to survive. 😊 (Brandon, i know you know this already. you might not believe in God right now, but let me share something worth considering: the life and claims of Jesus Christ. Jesus wasn’t just a wise teacher-He claimed to be God in human form. And here's the thing: His life isn’t just a story it’s backed by historical evidence. We have multiple sources outside of the Bible, like the Roman historian Tacitus and the Jewish historian Josephus, who confirm Jesus existed and was crucified

@sam-t2u6t Hi Sam. Thank you for being courteous. Regardless of our differences, this is where we find common ground and can try to understand each other and re-examine our beliefs. I did believe in God as a child, passionately, unreservedly. It was the sincerity pushing my worship that actually began chipping away at it and I learned to ask questions, examine many perspectives, and check the credibility of claims. Whether or not Jesus existed, whether or not he was crucified doesn't prove the Christian God exists and for me, (no offense to your beliefs intended) that leaves the existence of Jesus and any particulars simply another possible historical figure who may have existed, or been distorted over time, or is a compilation of several men.

I’ve said it for years: if a person understands the horrors that happen during a famine, they cannot worship the god who sends it.
Parents giving their children dung to eat.
Eating siblings who starve to death.
Suicide so your family doesn’t have to feed you.
Children begging their parents for food until they take one last sleep in their parents’ arms.
    Parents selling babies for grain.
And god went, “Yep. They deserve this for worshipping other gods.”
    Call Yahweh all powerful.
    Call him all-knowing.
    Call him anything.
But you can’t call him good.

@hapihotz In his book "Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth" Reza Aslan mentions that cities that were under siege by Rome (of course, it was God's punishment) they actually ate the leather of their belts and sandals; tufts of grass. And when they were weak beyond help, Rome attacked and ended up killing all the inhabitants. So he first used Rome to starve them into being unable to resist, to making Roman armies destroy them and their cities.

“You say the power of prayer will give you everything you need.
Tell that to a starving child.” - ANGEL WITCH, Religion, 1986.
    Excellent video as always, sir!
I grew up extremely poor. While not nearly to the level of starvation, food wasn’t always abundant.
Now I don’t worry about it. And my kids never had to worry about it.
To this day, I do not like wasting food. Of course, it still happens from time to time. But I rarely leave anything on my plate unless it is something I simply cannot stomach. When going to a buffet, I never load up the plate just because there’s room on the plate. It’s not lost on me how privileged most of us are here in America and I don’t like being flippant about it.
While I have always seen it in my own way, Channels like yours have really opened my eyes to the hypocrisy of religion in general.
I’ll be donating to the cause, sir. Keep up the good work.

To any Christian who may be reading this, I am curious. What do you think we hear, whenever a Christian initiates a conversation, by first specifying they are a Christian?
"Well, as a Christian..." followed by whatever comes next. We do not hear:
"As a righteous individual, who should be immediately well respected and revered for holding the moral high ground..." No, we do not hear that.
    What we actually hear is:

I'm extremely grateful for your channel! I had spent some time trying to fight for the faith of Christianity... But the people who hurt me and used me the most were Christians. Then I realized that the anger I had towards "God" as a byproduct wasn't an actual God at all. I realized that there are only selfish people and selfless people, regardless of what they believe and despite the religion that they follow. While I understand that a belief in a diety can help hold some people accountable to a life of service and sacrifice to humanity... I realize that this is only for SOME. I now feel more at peace accepting that the "truth" can be subjective and that everyone is entitled to lead the life that they deem the one that they value. It's much more fulfilling and joyful 😊. It's much more fulfilling living in acceptance than believing that a life of joy and peace is only found in 1 particular belief or "standard". Keep doing what you're doing, it's helping alot 😊 💯

And here's the thing: His life isn’t just a story it’s backed by historical evidence. Yep... God is nowhere to be seen during wars. And I don't wanna get into the topic too much, but I'm Ukrainian, and I think we all know what's going on over here. A loving God wouldn't allow that, a loving God wouldn't allow children to be separated from their fathers who are sent to war, wouldn't allow kids and women to be r@ped by the other country's soldiers, wouldn't allow our soldiers being tortured etc. It's a terrifying thing that's happening right now, and it was much worse in 2022-2023. And you know what the pastors in our churches say? Those people DARE say that we deserved all that because we didn't pray enough. It. Makes. Me. Sick. Those people will find all kinds of ways to justify their god's horrible behaviour. If something good happens - "oh it's all god, thanks to god!" If something horrific happens - "oh it's our fault, we as humans have sinned, we deserved it!" And it makes me want to cry. No, we do not deserve it. No, a loving god wouldn't leave our country and people in shambles. No, god does not exist.

There's no way you can claim to have compassion and not feel anything towards these topics. It's just the way it is. It makes people uncomfortable because they have to look at their reasoning for not wanting to look at it. Regardless if you can, the least you can do is spread the word.

Try traveling in spiritual realms. I think you will learn more than you do here. Keep a journal. Don't let others know because they will try to stop you.

Brandon, Charity idea: When someone told Cosmic Skeptic that the reason God allowed suffering in the world was because of free will, he asked them why non-human animals suffer so horrendously then?!?
I was just watching a favorite TH-cam channel of mine called Happy Doggo. I can't do justice describing his compassionate videos. This man owns a dog rescue shelter that rehabilitates dogs with horrible medical conditions and then gets them adopted anywhere in the world. He has a lot of volunteers. He recently started building a veterinary hospital on his property in order to better serve the dogs at a more efficient cost. I have frequently watched his videos and said to myself, "no good God could let these precious animals suffer like that!"
Ironically, yesterday, he just put out a video telling his followers about the horrific flooding that is happening to his dog rescue and all the work he doing trying to save it. I was thinking about Noah's flood and donated some money to him.

Mindshift- agree with a lot of what you say in your videos. This video has a lot of good points but also misses a lot. Starvation is caused by political leaders and those in control. It is all about control and greed. There is more than enough food. Israel is committing a genocide in Gaza. Another problem just as important is the quality of food. A majority of "food" is not food but just chemicals that cause health problems from obesity to cancer.
We as americans are to blame for problems in areas like africa. Africa is the richest continent on earth as far as mineral, soil, etc. The west just went in there and took advantage of the resources. Ghadafi was a good leader building up Libya but the united states went after him because he was going on his own gold standard.
Americans own tons of Apple products- but those products are made in slave factories. A lot of what runs our economy is made in slave factories.
