    1. Buy your own coffee, beans or ground, and make it yourself.
    2. Invest in a decent hand-held thermos type coffee carafe, preferably one with a covered lid that locks and has a spout that is only exposed when you are actually drinking.
    3. When on the road, refill at gas stations with grind and brew machines.
    4. Instead of buying franchise coffee like Starbucks, Caribou, etc., buy your coffee from local, independent coffee houses. ☕️

I ONLY wear Polo clothes, what makes it fun is buying all Ralph Lauren but not paying any more than other people spend on non name brand clothes. For that you have to know how to shop.

You can buy ALL of your dress shirts and even some sport coats from Goodwill. I own about 75 dress shirts and bought all of them for an average of $1-5. Some that are my size might still run big. No sweat I just get them tailored.
    Good stuff OG.

This video hit the nail on the head. As far as the streaming services go, like HBO Max, Peacock, etc., I watch what I want and then I cancel service when I'm done. These services get more & more expensive each year. I rarely buy clothes unless the ones I have are outdated or weight gain/loss. When this summer is finished I'll be getting rid of a lot shirts I have b/c they are outdated.
I think the best thing I've done so far though is buying a water filter pitcher. The best ones to buy imo are the ones that come with a filter and a pitcher you can take apart and clean it.

Im a big movie guy. I buy on iTunes when they’re on sell. I can get up to 6 movies under 60 and sometimes 40 bucks. I like the freedom to watch whenever I want and don’t have to hope a movie is on a streaming network. They sell tv seasons too and they can be expensive but if you wait and add to wishlist you can find them on sell as well. Saves me money in the long run but shows that are exclusive to streaming services I’m shit out of luck lol. Double edge sword.

He's so right about shopping for car insurance! We try and shop for new car insurance every 6 months. We were paying $140 for Geico for about a year and decided to shop around for something cheaper. Long story short, we now pay $69.99 for the same insurance through Progressive. We cut the bill in half just by doing 10 minutes of research :)

I agree with 98% except for two things. Never increase your insurance deductible to save, spend that extra monthly coin for a lower deductible ($500 range). Secondly, Starbucks is low grade fast food coffee, you’d be better off calculating your monthly coffee consumption and saving on a coffee subscription and brew at home, massive savings over that $5/$6 per day coffee.

2:50 - not often I disagree with you, Jeff, but I would about home ownership. When I was a young man, I was given the advice, "buy the most expensive house and the cheapest car". That advice stood me in good stead. The UK housing market continued to rise and rise, meaning that if you bought a £100k house and it increased 100%, that went to £200k, but a £200k house increased to £400k. When I retire, I'll downsize from my larger house and the profit will be used towards my pension. I've always seen my larger house as a way of saving for the future.

Review how much you're paying for health, renter's and car insurance. If you're generally very healthy, you don't need the highest health plan. Also, as a dentist, I see patients who rarely or never get cavities paying hundreds of dollars for dental insurance. They sell you on this by telling you that you get 2 free cleanings and exams per year. When you compare the costs, it's not even close.

I always like your presentation and learn a lot. Just one thing though, I believe you misspoke when you said you would save money on insurance by reducing your deductible. It is the other way around here in Canada and I imagine it is the same in the U.S. Again, I enjoy your work!
