      Not Replace but Restore and respect the Historical meaning.
      Indeed we should have built Back Modern Twins Across from the Original Footprint Memorials so that we Truly could Move Forward while Carrying the Spirit of those who were Killed and why the center was an icon in the first place !
      Although it is still possible to Do that but rebuild Modern Twins Some place else and for a different meaning But still Nodding to the Trade Center 🤷‍♂️☮️

    Unpopular opinion: pre 9/11 the World Trade Center was considered a classic tourist magnet to the city. Period. It garnered NO LOVE from New Yorkers except as a directional reference point on the street or maybe as an architectural highlight in a movie. After 9/11, however, a different narrative quickly arose .. .

    Seeing this incredible footage of the city lit up at night with all those amazing buildings makes one realize that man can accomplish great things when working together. The greatness of this city and all the man-made creations that its made up of will always overshadow the destruction caused by a few individuals full of hate.

    • @Rescue-vn5dw
      @Rescue-vn5dw 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      What's more foolish about those hateful individuals was that they were attacking and destroying landmarks that belonged to the human race as a whole. They attacked symbols of human might and our great potential- not just the USA's. So in essence, they destroyed something of their own.

And unfortunately, as a result, 20 years later- many, many, middle eastern countries were carved up, chewed and spit out by NATO and US forces- And it has lead to power vacuums and overthrown leaders all over the region. We didn't want this. It was a mistake that is still biting those hateful fools to this day. Those extremists have only plunged their families and people into fighting a war they will never see because of their suicide attacks. They should have known better not to attack a super power like that..

    The new buildings look so over the top and shit. The port authority should have retaken control over the complex and rebuilt the originals.

    Imagine if 9/11 happened at night. Less death, also there would be a huge dark spot in Lower Manhattan bc of the power outage. It would look oddly strange

    • @blissdelpopolo6322
      @blissdelpopolo6322 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      actually a lot more people would've died , because the towers in the morning were only half as populated as they d get during the day (by night there would be about maybe 15k people in there); it was night so it would ve been harder to escape and it would ve taken a much longer time to make the way down...and for rescue to come....also also it probably would ve gone less noticed that the buildings were fallin hence half the people below wouldnt have probably had the time to run away from the cloud.

    Dont be pissed. The gov't decided to go with a different more modern building to show how America has advanced in the meantime, and we came back stronger, with 3 buildings now.
