Chocolate Swirl Bread with Nutella | Super Soft Tangzhong Bread

  • Swirl bread is pretty to look and also fun to eat. This recipe is easy to make with little ingredients and with all purpose flour. It stay moist and soft. Give it a try. The wait for it to proof and rest is the hardest part of this recipe, but it worth it.
    Ingredients:
    440g all purpose flour
    2tbsp dry milk powder (help with the rising)
    1/2tsp salt
    1/3 cup granulated sugar
    2tsp dry active yeast
    1/2 cup warm milk (cold milk -microwave for 30sec)
    1 egg
    1/4 cup - 1/2 cup Nutella
    1/4 cup chopped walnuts /almonds (optional)
    1/2tsp ground cinnamon / nutmeg (optional)
    I proof the dough in my Instant Pot for 1hr under the yogurt mode.
    You can proof the dough in the oven with tempt under 110F or outside if the weather is warm. Cold weather does effect the proofing process (slower).
    We just need the dough to be double size.
